The weeks -years if anyone is being honest with themselves- following Zayns disappearance and the release of Louis' death statement were ones that Liam wishes he could forget.

Everybody wishes they could forget.

It took a very feral Zayn three weeks to find Louis and what he brought back was less than desirable.

The omega spent eight months in urgent care, dealing with broken ribs, punctured lungs, hearing loss is his left ear, eye sight loss in almost both of his eyes, severe weight loss, and internal organ health issues.

By the time he was wheeled into the hospital unconscious, he weighed a total of eighty pounds.

His liver was failing and so were his kidneys.

Eight months.

They kept him on life support for eight months.

Eight months of constant surgeries and no sleep for anyone except for Louis, who had only woke up once.

It took eight months for them to finally announce -for real this time- Louis Tomlinson as dead.

It was as if the whole world went quiet.

Nobody could even comprehend the actual, legitimate death of the Louis Tomlinson.

It was the cover of every magazine, every newspaper, every everything, for months.

Carter Adriel would never see a prison cell again. In fact, he would never see anything again.

His body was never found but the significant amount of blood and missing parts of his limbs left behind were a clear indication of his death.

Whenever Zayn was questioned about it, he kept his mouth shut.

One Direction announced their retirement three weeks after Louis' actual death, all four of them refusing to go on without their missing piece.

A week after, Louis' funeral took place.

It was closed off to the public but was televised for everyone to see.

"Louis Tomlinson was the sunshine in everyone's life. He truly lit up any room he walked into. He never showed his sadness to others and stayed strong despite everything he had gone through."

A moment of silence went through the small crowd gathered around the casket. A tear rolled down each of the alphas faces as the familiar guitar strumming started playing quietly.

Shortly after releasing Midnight memories, they'd all promised that they'd play Half a Heart at each others funerals because they were only half a heart when a member was gone.

The song ended as quickly as it started, Harry being called to speak in memory of his lost friend.

"Louis was... Louis was my everything. He was the person everyone wished they could be, so selfless and happy all the time. Though, I guess there were times when he was sad but he never really showed it. The universal truth we all have to face is that everything good always comes to an end, though nobody knew it would be this soon. Endings are inevitable. Leaves fall, you close the book and say goodbye forever. Today is one of those days. Today we mourn the life of Louis Tomlinson. In the beginning of One Direction, Louis told me that his favorite flowers were daisies. Today, I am laying them on his casket"

From that day on, none of the boys ever released music again.

Fresh daisies were brought to Louis' memorial everyday, nobody wanting the omegas gravestone to be without them.

Time went one, years passed and no one ever forgot about Louis.

The tiny omega who had made such a large impact on the world without even knowing it.
