I made this chapter first to provide disclaimers.
First and foremost: I'll be taking creative liberties with the lore of My Singing Monsters for the sake of this fanfiction, such as including the Prism Gates from DoF in the modern Monster world and putting cities between the islands.
Second: I may end up making oneshots related to the story later, and mini filler chapters in between the main plot. If people end up liking it enough I'd be willing to write X Reader oneshots.
Third: I have a specific ending planned out for this but if you guys end up liking it enough, I'll make an alternate ending (or several depending on what you guys wanted to see happen).
Fourth: I have no regard for intended "gender norms" for Monster species because I'm funky like that. Also I support LGBTQ+ rights, and nobody can change that about me no matter how much they try. I love you guys the way you are and I hope you love yourselves the same. <3
The disclaimer above was stated so nobody would come at me for making some of the Monsters that seem more effeminate into males, such as Parlsona, Kayna, or Fluoress. There are more than one Monster of a species, after all. Even with Werdos and Celestials.
Fifth: the main character of this fanfiction is a completely original Monster species and therefore bears the name of her species; Canairee. She's a Werdo that I made a while back alongside an Island I never finished, which I decided to name Clockwork Homestead.
Sixth: this fanfiction is primarily action-adventure/drama but has a bit of romance for the spotlight characters
Seventh: this fanfiction will contain LGBTQ+ themes such as the two main characters both being female and in love with each other. If you're homophobic and have a problem with that, this story is not for you, and I advise you not to read.
And finally, don't expect regularly scheduled updates as I tend to get writers' block quite often and have trouble with inspiration. But I will try my best to update whenever I can, even if it's with filler chapters.
I do not own My Singing Monsters or any of its properties, I only own Canairee, Clockwork Homestead, the concept for this story, and the characters I created. Not their species.
