"Wait no--Who's that?!" You ask. "Oh, her name is Paula she will be living her for a while". "WHAT?!?!" You ask in shock
You couldn't believe it.
"Is there a problem?" Your mom asks in seriousness. "No...Not at all. It's not like I know her or even heard about her" You say scratching your neck. "Anyways, Paula you can set your things upstairs in (Y/n)'s room.

You sigh as she follows you upstairs. She places a suitcase at the corner of your room. "Shimmer" She sighs. "Huh?" You ask. "You can just call me, Shimmer" Paula says.

"Erm--Your name is paula, no?" You ask in curiousness. "That's not even my real name, Shimmer, is...Weird name, isn't it?" Paula or now just Shimmer says. "Aren't you going to tell my mom?" You ask. "Yeah. Anywho, I'm Shimmer Zantano" Shimmer says putting a hand out. "(Y/N...(L/N)" You say shaking her hand.

You go on your phone as you quickly text your group chat which consists of Jean, Armin, Sasha, Mikasa, Levi, Clare, Petra and Connie.

You: Guys alright I have some weird news

You wait five minutes to get a text back.

Jean: What?

Mikasa: What's the matter?

Clare: Yeah?

Connie: :-0

Armin: WuT?

Levi: .

Sasha: ?

You: Alright, so my mom brought this girl to my house, her name is Paula and basically she is here to stay for a few months or whatever so her last name is Zantano but really Paula isn't her real name her real name is Shimmer did u guys kno that?:Oooo

Jean: Oh she's back and she got a change of name i know its her cuz of the last name

Mikasa: How is her name Shimmer?

Connie: Why is she even staying over lol

Clare: omg this is going to make everything awkward!!!

"(Y/n)? You and Paula come downstairs to eat dinner!!" Your mom shouts from downstairs. You and paula or Shimmer walk downstairs.

You and Paula sit at the table besides each other. Things were uncomfortable. "I want you two to socialize, so, I'll be upstairs then I'll just come downstairs to grab my dinner, alright?" Your mom asks. "Sure." You and Paula reply.

"Wait--Mrs.(L/n)...D-don't call me Paula...My real name is Shimmer, I want you guys to be like a seconed family to me...So...call my by my real name, please." Shimmer says.

"Alright, Shimmer." Your mom says with a laugh as she walks upstairs.

It got awkward. 2 minutes of silence.

"Hey, so...Why are you here? Like not in a mean way but you know...like.." You say awkwardly.

"Well...I am your cousin. I moved to another city during 8th grade..for...you know the reason...but I guess it never worked out over the years. So someone mentioned you being here, so I got all hyped because I never knew I had a cousin here to be honest. I was really excited to meet you. So I moved here and your mom said I'm able to stay here with you for however long" Shimmer explains then taking a bite of her food.

"Oh well...thats nice! Shimmer, after school me and my friends are going to go bike riding...do you want to come so you get to know my friends better?" You ask. "Sure!" Shimmer smiles in return.
