Secrets of the Sea

Chapter I

      Chapter 1

        The beach, that's where I am going. The repetitive sounds of the clashing waves and the smooth brushing of the palm trees calm me down. I checked my watch and it was just about 7:48pm. The sun that sets on the beach is amazing. The water reflects the pinky orange sky and it's just the best thing ever. I didn't get to see it today though, I was too busy worrying about my future, even though I'm in college already. The only reason I'm here right now is because of a college trip.

        My roommate and best friend, Amira is probably already passed out in our room, which is probably a smart decision considering we have to wake up by 5am tomorrow to watch the turtles and their eggs. I love marine biology, but sometimes it's just too much. I feel like I'm not prepared enough for it. Other people knew they wanted to study biology when they were like six, I couldn't even decide till I was a fucking sophomore in High school. I always feel like I'm missing something, or like I'm not good at anything I'm doing, especially in class.

       I didn't realize that I was already at the beach. I was daydreaming and worrying, again. I daydream and worry way too much. It really is a bad habit. It doesn't really affect me negatively though, I'm still kinda smart. Just a bit. Enough to pass as above average anyway. There's this girl in my class, Sarah, she's so good at everything and it's so annoying. She's also such a teacher's pet. I know the answer, even my sister could know the answer, and she's seven, but Sarah just has to make everything so complicated. It could be as easy as 2 + 2, but then she'd go on explaining why pi is 3.14. I know she's just tryna get good grades, but damn. There's a fucking difference between being a high achiever and just being plain annoying.

       A buzz from my phone brings me out of my trance. A bright light flashes on the cracked screen. 'WE WON!!!!!!!'. That made my mood better. The soccer team that I'm on just beat our long lasting rivals. I couldn't play the match though, because of this fucking trip. I don't get why everything has to fucking overlap. Well, at least they won. I texted back a quick 'congratulations' before going further into the beach. I'm not actually sure I'm allowed this far into it though. I kept on walking further anyway.

      The sand was soft and the breeze a bit chilly, but I like it like that. I decided to just sit and look out into the waters. After some time, I started singing 'Ta Reine' by Angèle. Not many people know that I can sing, or speak french. Most people just assume stuff. I really hate that, especially when what they assume is not true at all. I got another random Instagram notification about someone starting a live video. I considered joining it, but then I saw the time. It is already 10:32pm. I was actually really tired. I will definitely regret staying up this late in the morning so I decided to start heading back.

        When I stood up, something shiny caught my eye. 'What is that?' I thought. It was floating on the waters, so gentle and dreamy. I decided to take it. Normally, I wouldn't take something that wasn't mine, but there is just something about it that just intrigued me. It was alluring. There is this oval shaped sapphire jewel, just like the color of the ocean, on the necklace. It also has some weird shapes on it. I still think it is really cool. I brought it closer to my face to get a good look at it. It shone even brighter as it was getting closer.

''Vous êtes vraiment bon à chanter'' I heard someone say behind me.

"Holy Shit!" I shouted dropping the necklace. I was terrified.

"Je ne voulais pas te faire peur' the person apologized. They had a really angelic voice. It was also really soothing. ''That's mine'' she continued, pointing at the necklace.

''Shit. Sorry, I just saw it and I thought it was really cool so I wanted to get a closer look at it'', I tried to explain.

''It's fine really. A lot of people seem to like it anyway'' she came closer to me. She didn't re ally sound upset. More of intrigued. I couldn't see her clearly. All I could see was her curvy silhouette and her piercing gold eyes. ''Do you like it?'' she asked.

''Yeah, it's pretty'' I said looking at the necklace again. She stepped further into the moonlight. Thats when I saw, she was naked.

''The water was too nice for me not to get into so I decided to just jump in' she explained. 'I also wasn't expecting any company, considering my parents are out of the country and I told all the workers to go home''.

I was still stuck in my place breathless. "I - uhh'' I took a deep breath. "I'm really sorry for trespassing. I just got carried away with my thoughts and everything".

"Hey. I'm not complaining'' she said with a smirk and winked then she put it around my neck.

        I thought I was about to fall flat on my face. It's not like I can't talk to girls or that I don't have any game, its just that she was probably the most beautiful girl to walk the earth. So you can't really blame me.

"I mean, theres some extra space in my bed, if you're interested" she said.

A million things were going through my mind. I didn't know who this person was, but that hadn't stopped me before so why the hell not.

I looked back and said, ''If you wish". Her eyes were even brighter and her smile went wider. She took my hand and went up the path to her house.

        The path to the house was not long at all. We were still holding hands and she felt cold. She must have been. I mean she wasn't wearing anything. Technically, she was wearing a key and chain round her waist. I couldn't help but stare at her body. She had beads of water going down her body and her wet hair was leaving signs that we were walking the path. I noticed her tattoo, it was like a bunch of symbols. If I turned my head or squinted, it may have looked like the necklace design.

        The house was beyond mesmerizing, it had these huge glass windows, marble floors and wooden accent walls. Before I could think more of it though, she crashed her lips on mine. She kissed up the sensitive part of my neck and pushed me against the wall. She was taller than me, way taller, which made it even more hot. I switched our positions then picked her up while she wrapped her thighs around my waist. She pushed me towards the bedroom. I could feel her hot breath on my neck. Once we reached the bed, I pinned her down and kissed her, hard. She moaned in my mouth and it was my turn to smirk.
