Gaining Trust

"Why should I let you join me?" Sirin asked looking down on Milie.

Milie looked up at her still feeling the intense fear from earlier, "I can be of great use to you."

"How so?" She responded with a grin on her face.

"I-I can be a spy for you!" Milie said quickly, "I can give the overseer fake info and tell you their plans."

The herrscher put her chin on her hand thinking for a painfully long time.

Sitting up straight she said "Alright then, go tell your Valkyrie friends that I escaped and you can't find me."

Milie felt sweat drip down her face as she said "O-Okay."

"Make sure you come back~" she called as Milie left the area.

Milie ended up running through the lab for an hour until she found Cecilia.

"Cecilia!" Milie called out "I can't-"

Cecilia stopped her mid sentence "Milie! Where have you been!"

"I was just about to say I can't find the herrscher anywhere!" Milie shouted back.

Cecilia suddenly stopped in her tracks a shocked expression on her face.

"She escaped before I could get to her..." Milie continued guilty for lying.

Cecilia sighed "I'll call the overseer to send a pickup plane."
