"So you can just do this whenever you like then?" Sebastian asks, finger tracing along the rim of his cup as you watch a tiny drop of coffee dribble down the side.

"Well, technically I've finished work. So, I'm just enjoying coffee with a friend. I just haven't got changed because he didn't give me enough notice."

"Well, I was excited." He says, watching you.

His hair wasn't as long as it had been last year but it was still brushed back, slight curls almost high on the top of his head. A mix of browns and blacks bouncing as he moved. The cleft in his chin almost hidden by a shadow of stubble. When he smiled now there were lines at the corner of his eyes that hadn't been there before.

"For coffee?" You ask before sipping at your drink and licking at the froth on your lips.

"Yeah, and to see you." Sebastian looks down at his own cup now, finger tapping at the ceramic as he thinks.

"In which order?"

"Coffee first. Then you."

"Wow, Seb." You smile with a shake of your head and a scoff.

"Well, I mean, coffee helps keep me awake but you make me fall asleep." He looks at you, head titled slightly and his tongue rubs against his teeth as his mouth curls into a grin.

"Oh! Wow!"

"So you're a perfect combination if you think about it. You really even me out, you know?" His eyebrows are high now and his lips tight, still wet from his coffee.

"I hope you choke." You smile, your own tongue pressing against the side of your mouth.

"Well, wouldn't you feel bad if I did?"

"Not really, but I'd rather you didn't do it here because I'd have to fill in the paperwork. And I'm a first-aider, so I'd have to... well, you know... help you. Or at least pretend to."

"Oh, yeah?" Sebastian leans against the table now, his finger and thumb pulling at the skin of his chin. "What, like mouth to mouth?"

"Yeah, I'd have to put my lips on yours." You look down at the froth of your latte to avoid his eyes. The blue searching for you and you know if you meet his gaze you'd drown in it. Happily. Until he looked away and you could breathe again. Consumed by thoughts as you can think.

"Oh, right. And, you're not okay with that?" He asks and this is where your eyes meet. And his swallow you whole.

"I didn't say that."

"Good, because I was going to remind you that it's something you've done before, so you shouldn't have any problems doing it again."

And you're not sure if he hears your gulp, the last bit of wetness swallowed hard before your mouth goes dry. You go to say something, not quite sure what. Lost in the softness of his stare. Reminding you of the Hudson River, how the water always looked warm to you even though it was freezing, blocks of ice bobbing along the edges as hopeless as you were in the blue of his eyes.

"Well, this time you wouldn't be kissing me back. Because you'd be dying." You hear it once you've finished saying it, wishing you'd not spoken at all. That you'd kept quiet.

"Okay, weirdo." He laughs, glancing at his phone. "So, three days. I have three days. What can I do?"

"You can work here if you'd like." You glance towards the counters. "That would bring some people in."

"Y/N, you have people. It's doing really well, you should be proud."

"Stop it, Seb. I'll blush..."
