Chapter 6: Who let the bitch out?
Breath. Just breathe Scarlett.
I encouraged myself, as I slowly made my way up the steps to hell.
I could hear people talking about me as I walked past, like seriously I'm not deaf. Just dating an arse.
"So, where's lover boy?"
I sighed.
"What do you want Ali?" I groaned.
"I asked you a question, normal people would answer at this point,"
"And normal people don't stalk other people," I replied, putting my hands on my hips.
"What's going on here?" A husky voice said from behind me.
I turned to see Parker standing behind me looking like a Greek God.
"Ali is currently stalking you," I told him bluntly.
He chuckled, "Tell me something I don't know,"
"Parker, I don't-" she started.
"Save it Byrnes," he sternly told her as he held his hand up in front of her face signaling for her to stop.
She frowned as Parker gently wrapped his arm around me. I went red at the touch, and I could hear Parker laugh in my ear which made me go even redder.
"You love me!" Ali screamed at him.
"Wow someones desperate," Parker chuckled.
"And delusional," I added.
We both laughed, we actually agreed on something. Well there's a first for everything.
As for Ali, she stormed off muttering incoherent words.
"Shows over" Parker growled out to the small crowd of spectators. I shivered at the tone of his voice.
Slowly the crowd disappeared until it was just me and him alone in the hall way.
"I was thinking, we don't really act like a normal in love couple" he told me, letting me go so I could face him.
"Maybe because we aren't?" I told him like it was stupid statement.
He sighed like I asked a stupid question.
"Look haven't we had this conversation before?" I sighed rubbing my hands over my face.
"We need to do better if people will believe us," he told me bluntly.
"What else can we do then?" I sighed to tired to fight again.
"Well, now I'm not experienced in being in a relationship, but, lots of the couples I've seen, kiss." he told me quietly.
He is blushing?
"You're blushing!" I giggled.
"No I'm not!" He growled.
I held up my hands defensively, "Easy there tiger," I laughed.
"Look, we have to do better, and that is how," he told me changed the subject.
I wrinkled my nose up in disgust, "I'm not going to kiss you,"
"Don't act so grossed out, everybody wants to kiss me. It would be an honour," he smirked.
"Ever heard of being humble? And no it wouldn't be becuase most of the girls here have already kissed you," I shrugged.
"And they all love my kisses cause they're just that good," He winked.
"Egotistical jerk," I muttered under my breath.
He laughed before adding, "We made a deal," he shrugged.
"I did not agree to this!" I shouted, throwing my hand sin the air.
"Yes, you did," he said.
"No! I didn't, I agreed to be your fake girlfriend!" I shrieked, he's pissing me off now.
"Exactly, what do boyfriends and girlfriends do? Ah yes that's right, kiss," he said, treating me like a two year old.
I sighed.
"Fine, whatever," I grumbled knowing I was never going to win this battle.
"I think your the one who is desperate to kiss me," I chuckled.
"I am," he said honestly.
My mouth dropped to the ground and he just shrugged.
"I've got a goal to kiss every girl in the school, so soon I can check your name off the list," he said.
"Jerk," I grumbled.
"Come on," he laughed, pulling me from the empty halls.
"WAIT GUYS!" Someone wailed behind us.
I turned to see Nina and Tori running towards us.
"Hey" Nina panted as they both came to a stop in front of us. I swear to god that girl is a god damn sloth, she won't even get up to go to the bathroom sometimes.
"Um hey?"
"What happened with Byrnes?" Tori asked excitedly while clapping her hands.
"You heard?" I groaned.
"Everyone has," Nina laughed.
"Oh, hi Parker," Tori said, putting on a fake voice and started batting her eyelashes.
"Hey Victoria," he smirked at her and she blushed.
I frowned but otherwise ignored the small conference.
"Ali isn't so convinced. If this deal is going to work you guys need to work harder," Nina said.
I groaned.
"You told them?" Parker hissed in my ear.
"No!" I defended myself.
"They practically guessed," I sighed, "I really can't hide anything from them"
"Yep," Nina nodded, popping the 'p'. "I'm psychic," she grinned.
"I'll have to try that out for myself sometime," he said winking at her.
"See!" she sighed, "That's what I'm talking about Parker! No more flirting!"
Parker sulked.
"Except for with Scar" she laughed.
"Scar?" Parker frowned and then looked at me.
"My stupid nickname," I told him weakly before he nodded and smiled.
Scar. I like it," he chuckled.
"Don't you dare!" I growled warning him.
He just smirked at me, then started to drag me to my first class, English.
Dear oh dear, this is going to be one long day.
