The Other Hybrid (Peter Hale Love Story)

Part 5

We snapped back into reality Lydia was in tears and I just sat there still drifting in and out of my mind space. I felt stuck. My fears have all been proved to be worse than I imagined and my memories were an whole 'nother thing.

The damage physically was mostly gone except for the bite but mentally and emotionally I was being overwhelmed. All I wanted was Leah, Klaus, Void or anyone to hold he and calm me down. I didn't have much to live for but I had Leah he was my beta, my friend, my family. I couldn't even save Matthew all those years ago, yet everyone says I'm the strongest creature to ever exist.

At this stage my claws were dug into my palms and I was still stuck. That was until an voice pulled me out of my trance.

"What is she doing here?" Peter asked and my claws retracted while my palms healed. I opened my eyes and looked up to meet his gaze. His eyes were captivating weather they were a glowing steel blue or his normal brown.

We both snapped out of our trances and I stood up. Stiles vollenteared to take me with him since Void wanted to protect me. I walked out after him, Scott and Liam while fiddling with my ring again.

We walked to a blue jeep and Scott opened the back seat for Liam and I but I forgot my jacket in the loft. I didn't even ask, I just ran back to the loft. The necklace was in the jacket so I'd be losing two things at once if I just left it.

I lightly tapped on the door and heard shuffling until Issac answered with a smile on his face letting me in while walking out. I quickly slipped through and grabbed my jacket in the corner. I sniffed it and smiled at the scent of  Leah's colone. I searched in the pockets for the necklace but it wasn't there and then I sensed two people watching me.

I turned around and saw the first one, Derek but the second was a mystery. Derek had the necklace in his hand so I walked straight up to him and held my hand out, silently asking for the necklace. His frustration was evident as he pushed me to the floor to which I reacted by forming a ball of myself, shielding myself with my hands.

Derek was shifted at this moment and walked towards me. "What did you do to Lydia?" he growled and my own temper seemed to start to rise at the beta challenging me. I tried to stay calm and silent until Derek roared: "Speak damn it!"  

My claws were growing out of panic while my eyes grew out of anger. Derek had me cornered but by now I had already started filling with my switch as my anger and anxiety grew. "Speak now or I'll kill you right here and now!" he growled again. 

Here we go, the one thing I seemed to never understand was my personality changes when my moods did, Void said it'll be the death of me. I suddenly stood up and slowly walked towards a still standing Derek.

I inhaled, looked up and cracked a smile. My fangs were drawn and Derek took this as a sign to fight. I used vampire speeds to move out of the way and Derek threw the necklace to the other side of the room.

My eyes glowed again as I growled. I jumped on top of him and took him down. He put up quite the fight but I had 250 years of experience. When I got him down and pinned him, I roared which caused him to whimper and a random purr to be heard.

Derek shifted back while I turned back normal and Scott, Stiles and Liam burst into the room. I couldn't control my glowing eyes as I walked to the opposite side of the room and picked up the necklace which now had a broken chain because of Derek's claws.

I sighed and put the necklace in my jacket pocket. Void appeared next to me and turned me to look at him. "How long?" he asked and I confusingly asked: "How long what?" Void took the form of a shadow to let both him and Stiles have control.
