Vespera crawled across her bed and slammed her hands down on the pillow. Her cat Jumbo jumped up and let out a cry running out of the room. Vespera giggled as she rolled onto the floor, she ran her fingers across the carpet tugging on it gently.
She tilted her head back so she could see the open door, she blew a piece of her hair out of her eye.
She heard footsteps approach and she quickly crawled across the floor into her closet. She put her hand over her mouth hiding her laughs.
The closet opened and her big brothers Fred and George were there "Found you! Now come on we have to go" George laughed as he picked her up and threw her over his shoulder and began walking down the stairs that were outside her room.
"Morning mum!" Vespera called to the kitchen as George threw her onto the couch.
"Morning, Vespera dear could you come here for a moment?" Vespera got off the couch and went into the kitchen where her mom, Molly Weasley was. She was doing dishes and looking out the window "All ready to go get your school stuff?" She asked.
"Yup...where's Ron?" Vespera looked around and couldn't find her brother.
"Oh, he's outside! Go get him would you dear? You both have a big day ahead of you!"
Vespera walked outside the house and looked around the field. She made her way to the back of the house where a garden was, plants and vegetables were being grown and the grass was long.
"Ron! Come on we've got to go!" She yelled.
A moment went by and she felt something wet fall onto her head. She squealed as her clothing became drenched, she looked behind her to see her brother Ron standing there.
He was holding an empty bucket and was laughing. "Ronald Weasley I'm going to kill you!"
Ron ran away as Vespera took off after him, she chased him through the fields and back into the house. The floor became slightly wet as her clothing dripped and she chased him through the Living room.
"What is going on?!" The two quickly stopped running and turned to face their mom. "Vespera! You're all soaked! It's 10:40 we have to leave any minute!"
"Ron dumped water on me!" Vespera whined and frowned.
"Go get changed. Ron, you did this, pick the mess up." Molly said
Vespera stuck her tongue out at him before running back up the stairs and changing.
Her hair was finally drying as she looked at herself in front of the mirror.
She traced her hand down her arm where little crescent moons were scattered.
"Ves! We've got to go!"
"Coming mum!" After one last look in the mirror, Vespera hurried down the stairs. "Morning Gin." She ruffled the hair on top of her little sister's head.
"Okay, Percy you first." Molly was holding a pot that contained flow powder.
Percy, the third oldest of the children reached his hand in and walked into the fireplace. "Diagon Ally!"
He threw his flow powder to the ground and disappeared as a green light flashed.
"Ves, you go, and just wait for the rest of us with Percy."
She took some flow powder out of the pot and nodded at her mom "Eye eye captain, Diagon Alley."
She threw down the powder and just like her brother she disappeared from the fireplace.
She squeezed her eyes shut as everything spun. When she finally opened her eyes people swarmed around the shops.
Percy was standing in front of her and almost moments later her whole family. "Alright, me Ginny and Ves will go get her dress robes. And Dad will take you four to get the necessary books."
"Why does she get new dress robes?" Ron huffed.
"Because she's a girl Ronald, if you haven't noticed we don't have an older sister who went to Hogwarts," Fred said.
"Alright let's go," Molly led the two to Madam Malkins.
When they walked into the shop a short lady stood at the counter, she wore mauve and had a bright smile.
"Hi! Anything I can help you with?"
"Yes, we need dress robes. Preferably cheap."
Madam Malkin nodded "I'll see what I can do."
Ginny began tugging on Molly's sleeve "I have to pee."
"Just wait a few minutes."
"Mum I can't!"
Molly looked around then to Ves "I'm taking her to the bathroom, well be right back. Don't go anywhere."
"I won't, promise."
Molly nodded before heading out of the door leaving Vespera.
Purple drapes slightly covered the windows and low light filled the shop.
She wandered to the next room where a boy stood. "Hello."
He turned and looked at her "Hi."
"Are you a first year too?!"
He nodded slowly at her "Yes. I'm Draco."
He smiled at her as she skipped over to him reaching out her hand "I'm Vespera. It's nice to meet you Draco."
