Lydia's POV
Reece held open the door for me as we entered his room. I smiled a bit at him. He shut the door and turned. Then we shared an awkward silence.
"Um you can sleep in my bed I'll sleep on the couch." He stutters. I smile but as he leaves I grab his arm.
"Umm Stay?" I ask looking down. He nods and we make our way I the bed. He lays so he's facing away from me and far to the edge. I know he's trying to give me space but that's not what I wanted.
"Reece?" I ask and he makes a sound and rolls over so he's facing me. I look at him and he laughs.
"Yeah Lyd?" He asks giving a nickname to me. I smile at it.
"Don't lay so far away." I say to him and he scoots closer. He raps an arm around my waist. I smile and nuzzle into him. His thumb rub runs over my hips and I try not to stiffen. I hope he doesn't notice. I feel his furrow his brow and pulls his head up. He then pulls the bottom of my shirt up.
"What's this?" he asks running his fingers over my scars. I shiver as a cold feeling runs up my spine. His face doesn't change. I don't answer him and he grips my hip.
"Lyd?" he asks again.
"It's nothing Reece." I say. But even I know that my voice has no confidence in it.
"It's not nothing." He says his voice is drowned with concern. I still don't want to talk about it.
"Please." He begs running his fingers over my ribs. I shiver again.
"Reece you know what they are." I say in an angry tone. But he doesn't flinch.
"I want to hear you say it." He whispers.
"Scars." I say to him.
"And?" he says even though he knows the answer.
"Cuts."
"That's what I was afraid of."
