Lydia's POV
I hugged each of them and went to go find Jake. Reece went to follow me but I shook my head at him. He sighed and sat back down while running his hands nervously up mad down his legs. I sigh and go to find Jake and Casey.
I go to Jakes room. The door not shut but is almost. I see Jake crying and Casey rubbing his back. I sigh and push the door open, both the it's look up at me and Jake lets out another sob.
"J. " I say and he looks up as I sit next to him. Casey slips out of the room and I wasn't sure if Jake noticed.
"I'm sorry." He saw wiping his eyes.
"I'm not good with anything pertaining to rape." He says and we both flinch at the word.
"It's okay." I say smiling at him. He throws a weak one back.
"No it's not. I need to tell you something." He says and I nod.
"My father- he. He used to abuse my sister, mother and I before he walked out on us. He never really took any interest in my sister thou. It was mostly my mom and I." He clenches his fist and I smile at him. He can't see but I hope he knows.
"He raped my mom one night. I could've killed him. I would have if Syd wasn't home. Sydney's my sister." He finishes and looks at me. I look at him with horror in my eyes.
"That terrible. I'm so sorry Jake." Then I hug him. He hugs me too. We sit there for what seems like a long time. He pulls back and smiled at me.
"You and Reece really do belong together." I cock my head to the side to indicate that I'm confused. He chuckled deeply and explains.
"He's such a hot head sometimes. And he's got this soft side that he only lets a few people see. You make him better." He says shrugging. I smile at him.
"Yeah he makes me better too."
