Chapter 1 - The Gift of Hermes

All the campers had gather around . Greek or Roman the campers sat by their godly parent side on Mt. Olympus. They told stories, played games . While playing truth or dare , it was Apollo's turn he turned to Hermes and asked, " Hermes truth or dare ? " . Being wise he said truth.
" Hermes , did you give the gift to anyone in the last 20 years , if yes then who ? " Apollo asked. All the Olympians where shocked at Apollo's sudden wisdom.
" Dad , what's the gift ? " Connor Stoll asked.
" Like Aphrodite and Hephaestus , my children can have a gift . " Hermes explained to his son.
" Well then what's the gift ? " Asked Travis .
" Cheshire Mimicry , is the proper term but I call it the Cheshire Effect. " Hermes explained again.
" Can somebody explain what that is ? Also a demonstration would be nice . " Percy Jackson said aloud .
" The Cheshire Mimicry i-" Athena was cut of by Hermes saying , " It's my gift , I get to explain it . ".
" Fine ." Athena grumbled.
" The Cheshire Mimicry is the ability to copy the abilities of a Cheshire Cat. Here let me show you . " Hermes stood up from is throne , making his entire body disappear leaving him body less .
All his children applauded him.
" So answer the question . " Hephaestus said .
" Okay , I did give the gift to some one. It's a girl named Kitty Cheshire. " Hermes nervously said wondering what would happen to his daughter .
" Kitty Cheshire ? " Poseidon raised an eyebrow.
" No , I did not give her the gift because her last name was Cheshire. " Hermes objected.
" Then why did you ? " Aphrodite asked.
" When she was only 2 week old she stole her mother's watch when her mother was still wearing it . That's why ! " Hermes said with pride in his eyes.
All his children cheered once again.
When it all died down Travis wiped a fake tear and sobbed " That was a beautiful story . " .
" I know son I know . " Hermes told his son.
