piper walked down the hall to her bedroom on the argo ii, and as she did she walked by a certain blondes room ( who by the way, was playing music extremely loudly, but none of the crew minded because beth has a good music taste), the brunette knocked on the door, but heard no reply, so she tried again, but still no reply, so she just opened the door to see if annabeth was ok.
And she walked into what she could only describe as the cutest thing she ever saw( apart from her dads dog, story for another time).
" I AM JUST A FREAK, I AM JUST A FREAK." the blonde was singing at the top of her lungs, and piper couldn't help but smile.
"BETH," piper had to yell to get her attention, and the other girl finally noticed her. annabeth turned the music down.
"hey mclean, whatdya need?" she questioned.
" well chase, i need to go to bed, in case you forgot we have that trip to the temple tomorrow and i dont exactly want to feel dead in the morning from tiredness." the shorter girl explained.
" two things, 1) let me finish this song and then ill turn it off, 2) can i sleep in with you tonight? i forgot we had to go there tomorrow, the nightmares aren't exactly getting any better." she said the last part quietly, but piper still heard her.
" of course you can love," she said as she wiggled her eyebrows with a idiotic expression, hoping to make annabeth laugh, and it worked.
when she laughed piper couldn't help but laugh, thats the sort of effect annabeth had on her, of course she would never let the blonde know, how do you tell your best friend you're in love with her??
as they walked to the brunettes room, annabeth could tell something was wrong, she was good at reading people, she was a daughter of athena after all. " something wrong pipes?" she asked.
" hm? oh no, not at all," piper tried for a reassuring smile but annabeth saw right through it.
" sure? you can tell me anything, you know that." said the blonde
" yeah yeah i know." she responded.
piper wished she could tell her, piper wished that as annabeth climbed into her bed it wasn't because she needed comfort from her best friend, she wished it was because they had something more. but you cant just tell your best friend you love them, because they never feel the same way, right?
