I sat on my bed waiting for a FaceTime call from my only best friend, Dot- her full name is Dolores except she hates it with everything inside of her so I joked about Dot and she loved it. (Ifykyk)
I had been pretty lonely these past few weeks since she had gotten a new "boyfriend" if that's what you want to call him. She blows through eight guys every month saying that she met her soulmate just for her to break his heart the next day.
I try not to judge her for it, I mean I have no reason to in the first place, because I've been single my whole life (yay!).
Dot had promised to call me around 10:45 after her date with this guy.
Once the digits of the clock hit 11:05 and my room illuminated once more with the green light I decided she had to have taken the long way home ;)
I sighed and fell back onto my comforter.

What to do now....

I closed my eyes, thoughts drifting to a different life, one where I enjoyed who I was and what I've done with it. And had someone else- I don't know who. Someone....curly hair, a smile that lit up your whole world when he walked into the room.

Yeah y/n make yourself more depressed.

If only...

I kept my eyes closed, hoping this 'someone' would appear in front of me if I squeezed my eyelids hard enough.

Lonely much?

*ping*

Something had rapped against my glass door.

Shit! I swear to god if someone kidnaps me. I cant have my mom tell me 'I told you so' one more time.

Oh wait, she left for the night...
great?

Jesus y/n if someone's out there they probably already found a way in by now, stop being a freaking coward.

I grab the first thing I lay my eyes on, a coat hanger.

Yes I know, I was panicking alright.

I tiptoed towards the left side of my room, where the sliding door opened and almost gave myself a heart attack seeing the lock switched to open until I remembered that I was out there earlier.
I forced a deep breath out and wrapped my fingers around the cold metal bar, hurtling it open, ready to strike anything with....a coat hanger.

It was silent, nothing.

God. That doesn't make it anyyy more creepy.

Suddenly the skinny rack of wire in my hand felt like a paperclip compared to what could or could not be lurking in the shadows right next to me.
I took a step in hopes of reaching the railing of my balcony a foot in front of me and landed on something.

"SON OF A-"

Pain rattled through the nerves in my foot as I hopped to the side and looked down at the object.
Small, shiny and glowing?

Before I could kneel down to take a closer look, an orange sort of spark shot out of it, hovering in the air, folding in on itself until it formed a sphere.

So here I was, on my balcony, face to face with a ball of electricity and my stupid self goes to touch it.
Yup, and that's where we are.

The outline of bricks came into view as the world faded from scorching white to it's almost pitch black night of silent noises except the city surrounding the house.

My head pounded as I attempted to raise it from the ground beneath me, frantically looking for the little sack of crap that did this to me.

It was gone. Nowhere on my small patch of floating building was a tiny object glowing.

What? Am I going insane? Actually I wouldn't be surprise-

"Hey! Are you okay?"
