Chapter 2

Camila's POV

"Mommy!! Mommy!! Wake up!! Wake up!!" My only daughter chimed as she hop on my bed.

Damn, I feel like I just blink then it's morning already.

I groan as Caileigh continue her jumping up and down on my bed. I flutter my eyes open, squinting my eyes as the sun blinded me.

Ugh, what time is it? And as if Caileigh read my mind she throw herself on my chest staring at me with her brown eyes.

"Mommy!! It's 7:26!! Your clock said 7:26!! Does that mean we're late now?" She exclaimed, as I bolted up with her in my arms.

"Holy fu-"

"No cursing mommy! That's bad!" She scolds cutting me off. I roll my eyes playfully.

"Well sorry princess, Mommy's in a hurry. Can you sit here for a sec?" I ask as I place her down on my bed. She nods her head smiling goofily. "Sit there, don't move. I mean it Caileigh" i said sternly, only to receive a giggle.

I roll my eyes, as I got up and dash through my wardrobe, finding my uniform. No I'm not a student- I'm the owner of a Café- As I grab my light brown long sleeve blouse and my slacks, I glance at Caileigh only to find her rolling on my bed like a puppy, playing my pillows.

Aww..my little retriever..

I chuckle setting my uniform on the bed then I picked her up setting her on my hip. She whine wanting to roll again, I wrap my arms around her tightly, chuckling at her frowny face as I walk through the hallway heading to her room.

"There's no time for that princess, we need to get there on time or-"

"Or else Aunt Dinah will give you a poly beat down. Yeah I know." She sassed nodding her head. I roll my eyes, kissing her temple. I crouch down letting her stand up.

"Okay sassy pants, could you dress up for me? I gotta prepare some paperwork" she nods, then gave me a quick kiss on the cheek as she went to her wardrobe.

I wish she won't grow up fast.

I sigh standing up, When Caileigh comes to my life- I wasn't ready, I'm just 17 years old back then when I found out that I'm pregnant. I don't know who's the father but Dinah told me it's the name Shawn Mendes.

I try to search that person, but at the end? I can't find him, it was like he's a damn ghost- I don't know what to do back then and for the first time in my life I feel hopeless.

My family eventually kicked  me out once they know about Cai and I'm just 17 for fucks sake! I'm not even an adult to have a proper job. But- Dinah help me out in everything until I can stand on my own. And I'm more than thankful for her.

When I bore Cai in the world- I start taking up College as a Nurse- I applied some hospitals and until now there's no answer. So I build my own business to pay everything and for Cai's future.

I wasn't regretting anything, I'm more than happy to have Caileigh in my life- Although I don't like to face that bastard Shawn or I'll burn him alive-

He better pray to all saints if we ever cross each other's paths again.

I grab my stuff then walk out of my room, I shut the door behind me then smile as I turn I can see Cai was already on her uniform.

"Good morning boss!" She exclaimed, saluting me. I chuckle shaking my head.

Yeah she's one of my employees, and guess what?

I give her a salary like others equally. But of course her money was going on her care only, sometimes she's just asking me to buy her stuff from it. I know I could just get her something's without taking her as my employee but she insisted it. Like a stubborn child she is.
