Chapter 6

Normani's POV

I fix my tie, smiling proudly at myself on the mirror. Yesterday was the best day of my life, I met Dinah and got to know her more. And, I got a chance to tease Lauren more. Which is priceless by the way.

Speaking of that devil, Camila said she owes Lauren a free coffee for the rest of this week. That dumbass really want to bankrupt the Café, but I know she knows what she's doing -I hope- cuz if that Cafe bankrupts.

I'm gonna slam her nice genius head on the wall. That's the only place I can meet my Dinah without any annoying head like her. I grab my wallet glancing at my phone briefly.

I hope Dinah's having a great day. Wait. I didn't get her number yesterday.

Fucking genius, Kordei.

I exit my house sighing disappointedly at myself and grabbing my car keys. I close the door behind me then walk towards my car. I hop on, starting the engine.

"I'll just ask her later then.." I mumble unconsciously, smiling as I remember Dinah.

God, she's so perfect. I can even give the world to her just to make her mine.

As I'm driving the road, I saw a glimpse of Camila's back walking towards the Morgado Estates, she's holding some coffee and muffins while smiling and greeting some people around her.

It's not that hard to know it's her. She's enveloping with this brightest aura I've seen, you can literally see her from five miles away with her shining smile. It was like she's a ray of sunshine.

I park my car beside her causing her to stop abruptly and eyed my car curiously, I low down my window smiling as her face lit up to see me.

"Hop on, I'm going to strangle Lauren today." I joked smiling, she giggles.

"Are you sure? Your office is not that far I could just walk." She said genuinely. I chuckle

"I'm sure. Besides, Lauren would kill me if she knows I saw you walking and not giving you a ride" She eyed me curiously but then nod her head.

This girl and her oblivious mind. She have a daughter but she's just so.. clueless.

Lauren want it anyway..

Yeah, I agree.

She hop inside the back seat smiling at me through the rearview mirror, I smile back, starting the engine as I drive again.

The drive was comfortably quiet with her humming and soft music on my phone. I drive down to the parking lot of the building and I park my car beside Lauren's carefully.

Turning off the engine, I hop off the car and run to the backseat door, opening it. Camila walks out thanking me. I nod smiling and lead her towards the elevator as we walk.

We enter the elevator without any person inside but us. I then pushed the 42th floor humming as the music fills the four walls of elevator.

"So, what's up with you and my China?" She ask after the seconds of silence, I smile soundly.

"Nothing, but I know that I like her. More than any girl i've known in my life" I stated, not turning to her obvious teasing gaze.

"Why? I mean how does Dinah bacame different from them" She ask teasingly, I smile, scratching my chin nervously.

"Let's just say, Dinah's character is so far different from them. Dinah's kind, brave, intelligent, talented and passionate woman. The first time I saw her was on Lauren's office, the way she walk is like she owns everything in this building, the way she move is like a queen with elegancy, but the way she talks is something that I love. She's open minded and a big hearted person when she talk. Not to mention her voice is warm and soft too, like everyone can talk to her with pure honesty and she won't judge them" I pause, turning at Camila's smirking face.
