On and on he went about seemingly nothing yet everything at the same time. Not to mention how loud he was. It felt as if everyone could hear his hollering about wine and his multiple suggestions to give him an apple for him to play a tune.
Oh boy, and he kept saying "where are we going? Wouldn't gliding be faster?"
It was entertaining and thoroughly annoying all at once. But what was even louder was the call of Y/N's name..
"Y/N L/N" her mom's voice would ring out as they were about to sit at a bench.
Y/N would look back to see her mom furious and walking towards her.
Through Venti's haze he could tell this wasn't good, and Y/N was now anything but happy.. This made him thoroughly annoyed that their so far amazing night was being ruined.
"Mom!" Y/N would say in surprise, unlinking her and Venti's arm as she'd turn.
"I trusted you! I trusted you that you would be going to the library not being a soiled dove!" thats what she forgot..
"What- no that's not what's happening!"
"How long have you been doing this?! You know what shut up! Just don't say anything!" she'd roughly grasp Y/N's forearm.
"Ma'am. I'm gonna need you to listen!" Venti would speak up "we were having an amazing day! I as a bard played her and others many amazing tunes, then we celebrated by going to the tavern! And I will not stand for her restrictive mother to ruin my day!"
Oh boy.. Turns out he's not just drunk, but also stupid.
Suddenly, he'd get a slap to the face that made him stumble a bit.
"You do not talk to me like that! And your no where near old enough to go to the tavern so that was one terrible lie. May barbatos forsake you!" she'd then turn while roughly yanking Y/N back home.
He'd rub his cheek. He'd mumble out her name right before she'd speak a few last words "Venti dont try anything, ill be okay"
"Stop acting as if i'm going to shove you into a chamber you brat"
He'd look at her being pulled off sadly.. He was basically sober already.. That pulled a lot out of him.
He'd walk off back to the venti statue. The sun was almost set by now and there weren't any people in sight..
He'd take one last look around before using a wind current to get up into the statue's hands.
Venti would sit there, his chin resting in his palm as he'd think about what has just occurred..
Boy did he feel guilty..and.. Pissed?
'I've said I wanted every living creature to have their own freedom. But she certainly doesn't.. And she's even putting up with it willingly! How does someone even do that?! '
He'd sigh 'everything has seemed to be going wrong ever since I've tried reconnecting with Devalin..'
That was quite true.. He's been made fun of, bantered, and now slapped because a controlling mom thought they did the sideways tango or something.
"Ahh.. im so sleepy" he'd lift his arms up and fall back, laying in the statues hands as he'd look up at the peach colored sky.
'I wonder what her punishment will be.. I hope it's nothing drastic.. Nothing that opposes her freedom even more..'
"Aghh that really tics me off. How long has this even been happening?? Is she aloud anywhere without some adult eye on her?? So unfair" he'd pout.Suddenly, he'd be hit with an idea.. A pretty good one in his opinion.
----------
Y/N would be awakened from her pretty much unpeaceful rest. It had been only a day since that scene in front of venti.
Tink
Tink
A sound would come from her window. It was the middle of the night, at the very least 1AM.
She'd turn to her window.. The sound once again repeating there was something being thrown at her window.
She'd grogally get enough energy to stand, going to the window and opening it.
"Hey friend!" Venti would then suddenly pop up, giving himself a seat on her windowsill.
"Venti!? What the hell?!" she'd cover her mouth, looking to the door then back to Venti, hushing her voice.
