Magnus Bane sighed as he looked at the phone in his hand. He had just spoken with Alexander, and though that would normally send a thrill through him, he was unsure how he felt about this one. The call had been about the young Mundane from the night before. Olivia had woken up much sooner then he would have thought. Or maybe he was better at his job then he thought. Regardless, it would seem that he was being requested to give the girl a check up. He was unsure when he became a doctor and not the High Warlock...

Olivia had left an odd impression on Magnus. Over his life he had saved all manner of people. Downworlders, Shadowhunters, Mundanes, even a demon or two. Never, however, in eight hundred years had he ever unintentionally fallen into someone's memories. The night before though, as he healed the young mundane, as he pulled on her very life force...there it was. He had watched as though he was in some kind of home movie, as Alec and Olivia had their first meeting.

The shift of his magic to pull himself from her mind had brought the young women back to consciousness. His mark flashing at the same time their eyes met and a small shock went through him as he realised what she must be seeing. Sending her back into unconsciousness he was once more pulled into her memories... He had more than a small worry that this could somehow be his magic reaction to her anytime it was used on her.

Sighing again, the warlock created a portal that would take him just outside the warding of The Institute.

He was greeted by the angry face of Jace. Magnus was starting to think it was the Shadowhunters default setting. Much as it had been William Herondale's, the husband of his dear friend Tessa. Thinking about it, many things about Jace reminded him of William...

"Back to see Alec so soon...?" Jace smriked, interrupting the warlock's thoughts with his own more lewd ones.

"Sadly not, it seems it will be business before pleasure again today. It's a shame to, I had such plans."

Jace's face suddenly became stormy, his prior mood back again. He had seemed to realise why Magnus may have been called back to The Institute so soon. The once injured Mundane would of course be still in need of the finest warlock money could buy.

"She's in the infirmary." Snapped Jace before spinning on his heel and leaving a bemused warlock behind.

Magnus found both Olivia and Alec in the secondary infirmary. It was more of an overflow room with a few chairs beside empty crisp white beds. Olivia was sitting unhappily on one of said beds pouting at Alec as she looked up at his standing figure.

"I don't need to have a check up! I feel fine, you did not need to call your boyfriend."

Magnus enjoyed the flush on Alexander's face as much as he did the stuttering that fell from his lips.

"Go find Jace, Alexander. He was in a right mood when I saw him a few minutes ago." Taking pity on him, Magnus announced his presence.

As he left the two alone, both Magnus and Olivia rather clearly heard him mutter a 'when isn't he' under his breath.

"I'm pretty sure that's my fault... Jace doesn't seem to like me much and I'm not even sure why. It's not like we have even "met" yet." Olivia rambled slightly, and Magnus was almost sure the second part was more to herself than him.

Raising an eyebrow at the small blonde, of who he could tell had been dressed by Isabelle. The black and gray look screamed her name, even if it fit Olivia well. Very well, though the warlock would never admit it.

Magnus sat in the chair next to the bed, choosing to ignore any talk of Jace.

"Speaking of introductions, Magnus Bane High Warlock of Brooklyn at your service."
