*BEEEP BEEEP!*

My eyes shot open.

I grunted as I struggled to hit the snooze button, I couldn't reach it.

"JUST SHUT UP MY GOSH!" I yelled shooting up and slamming my pillow on it, knocking it to the ground. "Oops!" I quickly reacted bending down and picking it up off the ground setting it back onto my bedside table.

The morning sunlight beamed though my window illuminating the entire room, given the entire wall was the window itself. No going back to sleep in this condition, I suppose it's for the best.

I sighed and climbed out of bed, stretching my body out before I set my feet on the ground and stood up.

Today, at long last, was my first day at U.A. I've lived in the states my entire life after my parents, who both happen to be pro hero's, moved their agency there. Japan is my dads birthplace, and mine too for that matter. My dad is held up in America for a top secret hero mission, and they decided to spread out the agency, so my mom took a few recruits and built second agency here in Japan, and took me with her as we moved back across the Pacific Ocean to Japan.

I've been taught Japanese my whole life, but it's gonna take some getting use to talking in it all the time. Chances are I'm gonna start rambling in English out  of instinct and completely confuse everyone. Gosh, that would be so fucking embarrassing.

I got into U.A on recommendation a month ago just after we moved, I took a mini entrance exam per Principal Nezu's request. Of course with my quirk, Waterwind, it wasn't too hard.

My quirk is pretty good, I can materialize the moisture in the air into water and bend it to my will, or simply use small amounts of it to control the wind itself, though, that is a huge challenge to preform for more that a few seconds at a time, so I don't normally prefer to use it.

I walked over to my closet, sliding the doors open. A new U.A uniform stood nicely folded on the shelf. It smelled just like a new book. I carefully picked it up and walked into my bathroom to change.

I stood up dusting myself off and took my first look in the mirror. "Wow! Perfect fit!" I happily said.

I strolled down the stairs into the kitchen where I found my mom pouring a glass of orange juice as a bowl of my favorite cereal sat on the dining table.

"Y/n, morning honey! You ready for your first day of school?" She asked, smiling at me. "Nervous more really. It's kinda awkward to just barge in in the middle of the year, especially after everyone has formed their friend groups and all." I said sitting down at the table, eating my breakfast. "I'm sure it will be fine, have confidence in yourself" She said reassuringly.

A few minutes later I raced out the front door grabbing my skateboard and backpack, swinging my backpack over my shoulder and I shut the door behind me. I put my earbuds in and set my phone in my back pocket, my favorite song playing. I set my board down and kicked off, skating down the sidewalk humming the song softly as I went. I lived pretty close to U.A so I didn't need directions. Plus the giant glass building wasn't hard to miss.

I moved down the street without a care in the world, the sound of my weels bumping as they went over the cracks in the sidewalk. My h/l h/c hair blew in the breeze behind me as I shut my eyes embracing the sunlight, as I rounded to corner pulling up to U.A.

"This should be it." I said looking at my schedule. 1-A was embroidered on the wall outside the room.

I carefully knocked on the door as a man with long black hair came over and opened it for me,  I recognized him from my entrance exam.

"As I informed you a few weeks back, here's the new student we've been expecting. Please be nice, I really could care less what else you do." He said lazily.

Dude. What the fuck is up with this guy.

I slowly stepping in and stood at the front of the class. I gave a sincere smile as a waved. "Hi! I'm y/n l/n, I'm a transfer student from America. It's nice to meet you all!" I said, making sure I spoke in Japanese and not English.

"Hi!" "What's your quirk?" "America?? OOOOO!" Multiple students shouted out. "Y/n? That's an odd last name, even by American standards." A green haired boy muttered.

Shit. I introduced myself starting with my first then last name. I forgot that's not how they do it here!

"Oh Nono, my apologies. My first name is y/n, and my last is l/n. Back in the states it's considered kinda weird to call someone by their last name, so first names are the status quo. I'm still not to used to Japan yet, haha." I giggled. "But please do whatever you feel comfortable with, first name or last name, I don't mind." I sported a grin.

"If that's all, please go take your seat in the empty chair behind Bakugo, Bakugo, please raise your hand." The teacher spoke again. "Oh, no need! I know who Bakugo is." I tried my best to hold it in, but to no avail. As I looked at him, I chuckled. "He's the kid who got dog muzzled at the sports festival!" I snickered in between words giving everything I had not to burst out into a laughing fit. Around the class, a few students started to lose it themselves. A boy with yellow hair started cracking up almost as soon at I finished my sentence, quickly follow by a pink coloured girl. "WHAT'D YOU JUST SAY ABOUT ME?" He yelled. This seemed to rile up the class more. A boy with red hair burst into laughing tears and many students joined him. "DON'T ENCOURAGE IT YOU BASTARDS!" The ash blonde continued to yell ally the class. As this point a tear came out of my eyes form the explosive laughter, still struggling to hold in all in.

"Alright alright, laugh during lunch." The annoyed teacher said wrapping himself into a yellow sleeping bag. After a moment the class riled down and I sat down in my seat. The pink girl leaned over to me whispering something. "Girl, I already love you." She said trying not to laugh again. "Please flip to chapter 24 in your geometry books, and fill out the following 15 pages." The  teacher yawned turning over.

A few groans were heard throughout the class. "15 pages? Come on Aizawa!" The yellow haired boy said leaning his head back.

"I don't wanna hear it, please just go to work, and try not to make to much noise, I'm trying to sleep here." Aizawa replied.

This was gonna be one interesting class.
