That text from Dec made her frown flip around into a small smile. She wiped her tears and started to drive to his house. It was only like ten minutes away, so she just put on the radio and tried to control her breathing more.
When she got there she was immediately welcomed by an unfamiliar car. For a second she was a bit confused, until she remembered that Mason was here today. Being completely honest to herself, Y/n didn't really want to meet him today, at least not like this.
She took a deep breath and got out of the car, staring up at Laurens new plants she had grown on the balcony. She thought they looked beautiful against the white wall.
Locking her car, she heard a 'ping' come from her phone. It was a text message...

just told me about what's
happened with Tyler. I am so
sorry. Have you told him

Hi mum, I'm sorry I didn't tell you
about this, myself. I've been busier than
I thought I would be. You don't need
to be sorry mum and I haven't told
him yet but I plan to tonight, at
Decs house for the day though xx

She smiled at the thought of her mum, she's a lovely person. She's always wanted to be like her.

When she eventually got to the door she saw Dec
through the glass and did a little wave. He opened the door and gave her a big hug. He could tell she had been crying. She had only just gotten her smile back when a tear dropped down her face when she was leaning on Decs shoulder.
"It's ok, you don't need to be upset now, we've got a really fun day planned out!"
"Okay", she replied reluctantly but with a smile and they both headed inside the house towards the kitchen. Dec was like a big brother to her, he didn't like to see her hurt like this so he made sure that he could take her mind off of things for the day.

In the kitchen, stood a tall figure with dark brown hair and a bright smile on his face. 'Is that Mason?', she thought to herself.
Her question was immediately answered when
the boy opened his arms and said,
"I'm Mason, you must be Y/n!"
"Yeah",
she replied walking over to him and joining his hug, it was warm and she felt so loved for that one moment.
"So, now we're all familiar with eachother, Y/n, I think you should go put your shoes back on."
"I never took them off, Dec" she said with a slight giggle.
"Oh, never mind then, i'll just tell you, we're going bowling in half an hour!"
She gasped and thanked Dec with a big hug.
He laughed and wrapped his arms around her back.

"We'll have lunch afterwards too, if you'd like."
Mason added.
"That sounds great! Thankyou so much."

She had a beaming smile as they all walked out of the house. Her and Mason occasionally shared eye contact but instantly looked away when one or the other was staring.

Y/n got in the back middle seat of Masons car and Dec in the front. He turned on some of their favourite songs. Y/n rolled her eyes at the boys 'terrible' music taste. "Do you really not like our music that much?" Mason asked, pretending to be offended at her eye roll. "Whatever do you mean?" she laughed, Mason looking back at her in the rear view mirror. Declan piped up with a "It's really not that bad Y/n!"
"Whatever, Dec."

When the trio arrived at the bowling alleys, they changed over their shoes and as always, Y/n couldn't tie the laces and she asked Dec to do it but he could barely even do it himself.
"Come here then, I'll do it, Y/n" Mason said from the bench
"Oh ok, thanks."
"Don't worry!"

Dec looked over at the pair knowingly and put their names on the screen.

In the lead was Declan for awhile but at the last minute Mason got a strike which took him up to first place.
"How do you ALWAYS win?" Dec said sarcastically,
"I've just got mad skills that's all" Mason laughed,
"At least you're not last Dec" Y/n said with a pout.
They all laughed and headed out of the alleys and went to the food courts in town. They were just down a couple of escalators so they were there in a matter of minutes.

"What d'you want to eat then?" Dec said looking at the different options of restaurants.
"I don't mind" Y/n said, remembering that she hadn't eaten at all today. She just wanted food.
"What about... Mcdonald's?" Mason replied,
"Yes!" They all agreed and sat down for their meal.
"Can I get a Big Mac and a diet coke, please?"
"That's what I was going to get!" Dec laughed.
"Y/n, what would you like to eat? Don't worry about paying, I've got it" said Dec with a heart- warming smile.
"Eh- can I get a six nugget meal with a diet coke if you don't mind, Dec"
"Of course, I'll go order it now."
"Thankyou so much"
"Thanks bro"
Left at the table was just Y/n and Mason. They just sat and stared at anything but eachother. You could tell they had feelings already. After only an hour or so of meeting eachother.
"I'm just popping to the toilet, i'll be right back."
"Okay, be careful" Mason said almost inaudibly.
"I will do"

When she got to the toilet, she pushed the door open and went into one of the only free stalls.
She felt actually happy, for once today.

(back at the table)
"Just ordered- where's Y/n?" Declan said, slightly worried.
"Don't worry, she's just gone to the toilet, she hasn't been there long."
"Oh look, there she is"
Y/n was walking over to the table, she waved at them with a smile.
"I'm back" she sung, sliding onto the chair opposite Dec and Mason.
When the food got there, the three of them ate it as fast as they could because the two footballers were beginning to get noticed by the public. They often forget that they're famous.

The rest of the day, they spent at Decs house, just chilling out and playing games. At one point, when Mason and Declan were playing Fifa, Y/n fell asleep on the end of the sofa. She did like playing Fifa but she found it quite boring when watching other people play it. When Mason won, she started shouting really loud which woke Y/n up with a jitter.
"Ah sorry, Y/n! I didn't mean to wake you up"
"No, it's fine. I should be getting home now anyways."
"Y/n, are you sure you don't want to stay the night?" Dec offered.
"Yeah, I'm sure. Thankyou for today though, both of you. I've really enjoyed myself" Y/n said with a smile and hugged them both goodbye.
