"What happened honey?" John asked quickly, looking around as if someone was there.

"Sara-" Katy began, "she's gone. Some man took her!" Katy cried. "I thought I was a good mother, but how can I be a good mother if I can't even protect my baby."

"Hey, hey, hey," John said, putting his finger lightly on Katys chin pulling her head up to look at him. "We will get her back. I promise you."

"You pr-promise?" Katy stuttered through tears. "Yes, little duckling." John said holding katy close.

John picked up his phone and struggled to type the numbers 9-1-1. "Hello, this is 911. What is your emergency?" The operator asked. "It's my daughter. Her name is Sara Perry-Mayer. Some man was in her room when my wife went up to lay her down to rest. He didn't say anything, just took the baby and disappeared." John began breathing heavily rustling his fingers through his long, brown hair. "Okay, what did the man look like?" The operator asked, causing John to look at katy. "Uhhh, I didn't see him. But my wife did. Ill put her on." John said, handing the phone to katy. "his face was pale, and his eyes were as black as his soul. He had a scar about half an inch under his eye about 2 inches long, and he was wearing a trench coat and top hat." Katy explained.
"Okay our drawing specialist will draw out the kidnapper, and we will send it to you, so what I your address?" The operator asked. "12485 boxendeer way Los Angeles, California." Katy said quickly. "Okay, thank you. we will call you when the drawing is being sent. Call 223-735-1168 when you receive it to clarify if that's the man. goodbye." the operator said. "Okay, goodbye" Katy said, and hung up.

Minutes later, Katy received a call. "Blocked Number" Katy said, John could hear the worry in her voice. Katy hit "accept." "He-hello?" Katy asked the mysterious caller. the only thing Katy could hear on the other line was heavy breathing, and then: crying. A baby's cry. "Sara!" Katy thought, she'd know that cry anywhere! "Listen here, snot-bag," John took the phone from Katy and stammered, "Give us back our daughter."

"Here's what you'll have to do," a voice came in on the other line, "give me 1,000,000 dollars by tomorrow, or the baby dies. Got it?"
"No. Here's what's going to happen. You are going to return her, or we will see you in court." John said back, giving a glare into Katy's phone.

"Sorry we couldn't do buisness. Good day to you, sir." The mysterious voice said, before hanging up. "SNOTBAG!" John yelled through the phone, even though the voice had already disappeared.

Katy collapsed to the ground, not even putting her hands out to break her fall. Her head hit the ground, with a crack. "Duckling!" John said, popping to her side, "Duckling, talk to me! Tell me you're alright!"

Katy sat up slowly, only to fall backward again. "that's it," thought John. "I'm getting her to the hospital."
