The Missing Young One

Hospitalized

John ran, rushing into the hospital with Katy in his arms. Her hair was flowing from Katy's hanging head. "Help! Please help! Its my wife! She's been hurt!" John cried.

A nurse ran up to the couple and began to grasp Katy in her arms to move her to a bed. "What happened?" the nurse asked, looking very confused. "She fainted," John began, "A man just took our daughter, and we had just gotten off the phone with 9-1-1, and she just collapsed right in front of me."

"She's bleeding in the back of the head." the nurse said, "Did her head hit the ground?" John was infuriated. "Yes! If you faint you aren't alert enough to stop your head from hitting the ground!"

"Okay, sir. I need you to calm down. Is it possible she just fell to the ground because she just learned she may not be able to get her baby back?" The nurse asked.

"How did you know the man said he wouldn't give Sara back?" John asked.
"I asked you a question, answer me please, by the way, I didn't. I just assumed because you would be happy if you knew you could get your baby back." The nurse stammered.

"Good point," John agreed, "what's your name?"

"Nurse Tammy, Tam for short."
Tam answered.

"Tam. Tamara! that's my wife's assistants name!" John said, excited.

"Oh really, you know I didn't want to say anything, but um, there are people following us." Tam cried.
"Okay, I get it. I'm John Mayer, they probably want autographs or something." John said, now turning towards the crowd. "Hey, I'm sorry, but I can't sign anything, and obviously, neither can my wife. Please go back to waiting over there."

They burst through doors, and some doctors caught John by the shoulders, "I'm sorry, no people other than doctors an patients beyond this point."
John had to process what the doctors had just said, and he had to accept that now, he was completely alone.

"My daughter, now my wife?" John thought. "Everyone I love and care about are disappearing! why?"

The doctors who took Katy had to give her a CT scan. Just to make sure she didn't have any internal bleeding, o fractures on her bones.

John had been waiting patiently for the results for 35 minutes. He really just needed someone to keep him company. The first person John thought of was Katy's older sister, Angela, and younger brother, David.

He took out his phone and began looking for Angela's contact in his phone. He almost didn't push the "call" button. He just had this feeling that the results were going to come any minute.

"No," John thought. "Angela and David are her siblings. Other than me, they should be the first ones to know."

John decided to hit the button. "Hello?" Angela answered. "Hey, Ang." John began "Its John. Katys been hurt."
"Oh my god! Is she okay?!" Angela said with a slight rush to her voice.
"Not sure, the results haven't came back yet. Can you just get get over here ASAP?" John said, clearly trying to hold back a load of tears. "Yeah, sure. Right away. Ill notify David." Said Angela sincerely. "Okay, thanks Ang." John said. "Yep, bye." Angela answered.

Within 10 Minutes David and Angela were at Johns side.

Not much longer, a doctor came out holding a thick clipboard. "Family of Ms. Perry?" John, Angela, and David all stood up completely in sync. "Yes?" Angela said, walking up to the doctor. "hello," the doctor began, "I'm Dr. Blakley. Katy will be fine, but we would like to keep her over night for observation."
"Okay, does she have any fractures or anything?" John asked.
Dr. Blakley gave John a sincere, yet sad face. He sighed, and said, "Yes. She has a slight concussion, which we suspected, because she threw up on herself, and after the CT scan, she had no idea who she was-Now she won't stop asking to see you John, so you and Katys siblings I assume, may go back to visit Katy. She is in room 212 on the third floor."
"Alright, thank you." David said walking past the doctor to an elevator, John and Angela following close behind.

"Hey, Duckling!" John said softly, walking into Katy's room. "Hi" Katy answered weakly. "John called us and told us about you." Angela said. "Oh did he mention, Sara was Kidnapped?!" katy angrily said, "please, I'm not in the mood right now, out, please let me rest."

As they slowly left the room, Angela asked John, "Sara's been kidnapped?! we have to go look for her!" Angela and David said, scurrying out of the hospital, John running behind to jump into Angela's car, with Angela and David. "Okay, let's go." John said as the car started, and off they went.
