We sat there, late into the evening, just two men watching the stars together. I pointed out the many constellations that I knew, like Orion, Taurus, Gemini, and Lepus. He listened and looked to the sky with rapt attention, trying to see the shapes that they made. He looked so content and happy, and I was glad I could take him away from the terrible situation, even if it was for only a couple of hours. It was soon very late, and we stood up to go back to the hotel. Dean smiled at me, a real smile, not a fake one he would put on to show he was alright. This one was big, showing his dimples a bright white teeth. He whole face seemed to smile. His eyes gleamed like freshly polished emeralds and the gold specks in them glimmered in the silver light of the moon. His hair, messy and windswept, stood straight up. I couldn't contain myself as I smiled back at him. His eyes squinted as we made eye contact.

"What?" I asked, tilting my head.

"Your eyes. They're very, beautiful." he said bashfully. "The moon makes them look like sapphires." I blushed and ran my hand nervously through my hair. I was smiling so much I though my jaw would break. "C'mon Cas, let's get back to the hotel." Dean said, turning and waiting for me to walk next to him. I fell into step beside him and we walked back through the silent town. We reached the hotel and quietly snuck in. I could hear Sam snoring loudly in the other room and the faint sound of the t.v. Dean took off his jacket and went to turn off the t.v. I walked into Deans room and took off my trenchcoat. I lay down in the soft bed, my wings curling up tightly behind me. Dean walked in and saw me, and his smile faltered just for a moment.

"C-can I stay?" I asked Dean, worried if I was doing the right thing.

"Of course." Dean replied, shutting the door and walking over to me. He climbed into the bed and lay down, looking at the ceiling. I was facing away from him. I shut my eyes tightly, feeling my face blush, then I turned around and snuggled into Dean's chest. He looked at me, his green eyes shining, then put his arm around me. I could feel his sharp muscles and the beat of his heart. In just a few minutes, I was fast asleep.

Sorry! This one's very short! More coming later!
