Chapter Thirteen

Jacksons POV:

-I came back home with a smile on my face because Madison makes me happy but the smile quickly wiped off my face when I saw Joey in tears.-
Me: What's wrong buddy?
Joey: She umm..
Me: Who's she?
Joey: Our.. mom died..
-I felt my heart stop and it felt as if it was strained and broken. And I started crying hard.-
Me: How did shhhe?..
Joey: I think she overdosed on her medication cause when I came home from work all I saw was her on the couch and there was medication on the kitchen counter and it was empty.
Me: Wow.. i don't know what to think right now..
Joey: I guess were on our own now..
Me: I still need to process this... umm..
-me and Joey cried for hours but then it got to a point where I accepted it. She was making my life miserable but I never wanted her to die. -
Me: How am I supposed to go to school tomorrow?
Joey: It'll be okay.. you have to go.

Madisons POV:

-Today I was at school looking in my locker and Jasmine usually always come to my locker but she didn't today. Jackson walked right past me and I saw him go to his locker with his head down. -
Me: Jackson!
-I went up to him and he just kept looking down like he was rly sad.-
Me: Jackson.. are you ok?
Jackson: I don't wanna talk right now..
Me: Jackson.. please. Why r u so sad?
Jackson: I'll tell you later ok?
-I hope it wasn't anything I said yesterday that upset him.
At lunch I sat in my usual spot with Jasmine and she sat next to me.-
Me: Hey Jasmine. Are you ok?
Jasmine: Umm.. yeah.. but there's something I gotta tell you.. actually..
Me: What is it?
Jasmine: Lets talk in the bathroom.
-I followed her to the bathroom.-
Me: What? Tell me..
Jasmine: Well I sorta like someone..
Me: Really who?
Jasmine: Umm u might be mad at me..
Me: Just tell me. Ok?
Jasmine: Fine.. I like Derek.
Me: What??!
-I was so mad like how can she like a guy who completely cheated on me with Lexi. We've been friends for years and wow. This guy is so freakin toxic! I don't get it.-
Jasmine: I'm sorry.. but it's not like I can do anything about it. He's with Lexi.
Me: You would actually go for him?! Jazz.. don't you know what he did to me?
Jasmine: Cmon Mad.. he's probably better now.
Me: But it's girl code.. it was only a year ago he did that to me. he's my ex. Your letting your emotions get in the way.
Jasmine: You're being immature about this..
Me: No.. I'm not..
-sophia walked in.-
Sophia: Whats all the fuss about weirdos?
Me: It's none of your business..
Sophia: Whatever..
-I stormed out of the bathroom and went back to the lunch table, hoping Jasmine wouldn't follow me. But she literally took her lunch and went to Dereks table?! Like the heck?! I went up to the table.-
Me: Jasmine!
Lexi: Awww looks like ur concerned about ur best friend awww Hahahah.
Me: I didn't ask you lexi.. I came here to talk to Jasmine. Not you.
Jasmine: Sorry Mad..
Derek: You're friend is allowed to have other friends.
Me: Since when are you friends with her?

Jacksons POV:

-I'm sitting by myself at a table and I look over and see Madison talking to Jasmine and the gang. I got up and walked over cuz it seemed like a lot of commotion. -
Me: What's going on?
Madison: Nothing..
Lexi: Awww here comes Madisons little boyfriend. The criminal of this school. The one that caused problems for Derek. Oh and I'm pretty sure it's illegal to date him.. Madison...
Me: Just stop it okay? Just leave Madison alone!
-the principle came up and asked for me and Madison to go to the office.
We followed her in.-
