EPILOGUE: LANCE

Mom and dad were always so happy together. I don't look like any of them. So, one friday after school I had to ask about that. I was only seven.
- Olá, Lance! - Mom kissed my cheek.
- Hey, big boy! How was school today, mate? - Dad asked me.
- It's okay. I learned Math and some biology. That's why I got your pictures on my phone. And I don't know why I don't look like any of you, except for the chinese eyes from papai.
- Ah...what did your teacher said? - Mom asked me.
- That some kids don't look like their parents because they are adopted. I was adopted?
- No, Lance. But we will have to tell you the story. Ludi, get some soda for us?
- Sure, mama. - Dad said.
- So, Lance. I am your mom. Look at this photo... - She was showing a photo of me when I was born and yeah, that baby looked like me.
- But, your biological dad is this one. His name was Iko Uwais.

- Biological. Your "real" dad. The one who got mom pregnant. He was my boyfriend. But he turned into a little star when you were still inside of me.
- Why did he become a little star, mom? - I asked her.

- So dad is not my real dad? - I was confused.
- Hey, Lance! Of course I am your real dad!  Ludi got his cup of soda and gave mine. He was drinking too.
- I don't understand. Why do I look like Iko instead of dad?
- Like I said, Lance. Iko was the one who gave the seed to mom so I could get pregnant from you. But who take care of you and bring you to Disney at vacations? Your dad, Ludi.
- Can I pray for dad Iko too when I go to bed?
- Sure! I am a hundred percent sure he will love to meet you. Now go do your home work.
I have done my home work, this time there was not too many.
Before I entered my bedroom to play videogame, I saw in my mom's bedroom a photo of her really really young with dad Iko. So I have two dads... Iko, the star and Ludi, the human dad!

I might be lucky for that? Maybe. But only dad Ludi brings me gifts at Christmas.
