The interview with Oprah the previous week left Essence with a bad perception of the older black woman. She came to the conclusion that she doesn't like her and never will. It was stupid of her to even give the woman the time of day due to the silly questions she'd ask and just butting her nose in something that she was not going to get information about. One thing she could say about Oprah is that she was very persistent, but Essence stood her ground and left her ass wondering.

If anything, she weren't to be trusted.

Given Essence's busy schedule lately, she was able to take time off to be at her eldest daughter's softball game, which her team was in the lead. Truthe has always been into sports and it often made Essence and Michael wonder where she get her athletic side from because neither one of them played any sports. Truthe is what you would call an 'all american'. She could do it all. Basketball, track, volleyball, and soccer. But it was something about the game of softball she loved most and she dedicated most of her young years playing the sport starting from little league teams.

When Michael was alive, he made time to attend most of her games, not allowing his fame to dictate his life any longer. He wanted to be there physically to cheer his daughter on and he did until the end. As for Skyia, who is the youngest, she was into the arts like her father. She was only eight years old but very talented when it came to a sketch book and/or canvas. It amazed them at how vivid her drawings and paintings were for such a tender age. Both children had a special gift to call their own.

It was now Truthe's turn to batter up as everyone in the stands looked on attentively, waiting to see if she'd make a good hit or strike out. When the pitcher threw the first pitch, the sound of the bat connecting to the ball was heard as most people in the stands slowly risen to their feet, eyeing the ball flying through the air until it gone over the gated field. She had hit a homerun deeming their team as the winner of today's game.

Essence being the mother she is cheered like any black mother would (something that Michael would have been laughing at like he always done) along with Skyia for her daughter who jogged from one base to the other until her teammates ran towards her and engulfed her into a huge group hug before lifting her into the air in utter glee.

While the team was instructed to retrieve their belongings from the locker room, Essence was engaged in conversation with Truthe's coach.

"You're daughter is such an amazin' sport. The girl have skills to be somethin' phenomenal professionally." Coach Tiara proudly told her.

"I know. I've noticed how great she is out on the field. It continues to blow my mind." Essence smiled.

"You know we have the AAU program this summer. We'll love to have her play for us."

"I'm sure she'll love that. I'll get back with you on that, coach."

"Please do. She's very much needed." She nods.

Just as soon as Coach Tiara left, Truthe appeared from the side of Skyia, her Nike duffle bag in tow and wearing a smile on her face.

"Good game, Teej!" Skyia congratulated her sister as they high-fived each other.

"Thanks, Sky." Truthe then looks at her mother questionably. "What did coach want?"

"AAU this summer. She wants you to play."

It was as if her brown eyes lit up like she was in the candy store. "Really?!"

"Yes, ma'am. I told her we'll get with her about it, but for now, where does my favorite ball player wanna celebrate her win?"
