The plane ride was long. I zoned out for a while and watched the clouds until Sabrina shook me. I started paying attention and realized that we were finally landing. I smiled and put my earbuds and stuff away. When the plane finally landed, we got out and went into the huge, bustling airport. I yawned, and realized that I needed coffee.

So, I went to Dunkin' Donuts.

It was warm and sunny outside. I love Summer, it's my favorite season. I finished my ice coffee and tossed it in the bin. My mom, Sabrina and I took a taxi to our new house. It was huge. It was two stories tall, and mom told us that it had an attic, basement, and a pool. I smiled. When we got inside, I rushed up to my already-furnished room (perks of being rich, thanks, dad!) and smiled. It had hardwood floors, galaxy-print walls, (I love galaxy stuff, don't judge) a white baby grand piano against one wall, an ivory-colored desk, a matching dresser, a white L-shaped couch (with galaxy pillows), a white nightstand, an ivory-colored chest of drawers, a purple lava lamp, and a white full-sized bed with a galaxy comforter and white pillows. I smiled and threw myself on the soft bed.

I'll like it here, I thought.

It took me about 20 minutes to unpack all of my stuff- wall decals, makeup, perfume, etc. I finally hooked up my radio and started listening to Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran. I sang along.

When your legs don't work like they used to before,

and I can't sweep you off of your feet

will your mouth still remember the taste of my love

will your eyes still smile from your cheeks?

(listen to it, it's in the media section)

Eventually, I got out my PearPad and checked TwitFlash. Nothing new. I went on Voogle Maps and checked out the area I'm in. Down the street is a store called Junk N Stuff. A block away from that is the pool. Down the street from the pool is a place called Club Soda. I thought about it, and decided  to go to the pool. I figured Sabrina would want to come, so I quickly went into her black-an-white room and said, "Pool?" She nodded and started getting dressed. I went back to my room, and quickly rummaged through my drawers and pulled out a simple black strappy two-piece swimsuit. I throw jean shorts and a black t-shirt that says boss on it over my bikini, grab my black studded waterproof phone case and matching earbuds, and shove them into a bag with a towel, change of clothes, and my wallet, because there's a snack booth there. I spray sunscreen on, put my sunglasses on, and met Sabrina downstairs. I told my mom where we were going, and we left.

We walked to the pool, because it was nearby. It was the perfect day outside- warm, but not too hot, sunny, and breezy, not not too windy. Sabrina and I finally arrived. I wanted to go to the public pool to make friends.

I pulled my t-shirt and shorts off, and climbed in the freezing water of the pool. There was a group of kids at the deep end of the pool playing water basketball. I swam over to them and asked one kid, "Hey, can I play?" I'm an expert at water basketball, and swimming. "Yeah! The more, the better!" The kid said. "I'm Carter." He said. I smiled. "I'm Sasha, and I'm new here." I said. "Nice to meet you." Carter replied. "Let's play!" Someone called out. I called Sabrina over, and we started playing.

I got put on a team with Carter, Sabrina, this cool girl named Kianna, a boy named Jason, a girl named Bianca, and a boy named Austin. We won 4-0. Kianna, Austin, Carter, Sabrina and I played truth or dare for a while, it was awesome. We learned that we were all starting 8th grade at Swellview Middle school in August, and Carter lived right behind us. Carter, Sabrina, and I walked home at about 7:30.

Today was good, I thought, flopping on my bed and dozing off.
