Disappearing || Series

Chapter 3

Clint drops dead on the floor, hitting his head on the rail attached to side of the wall.

I flinch at the sound of his head cracking when it hits the floor. I drop Nat's gun onto the floor beside me and reach my right hand in Clint's direction.

I grab his hair and lift his head up, bloods pouring from the bullet wound, his eyes and his mouth.

The elevator dings and I let go of his hair, his head falls back against the wall. I pick up my gun and point it in front of me, prepared to see another one of the avengers as soon as the elevator doors open.

But when the elevator doors open, nobodies there. The place has been ransacked. Drops of blood were on the floor, I manage to not step on it.

I aim the gun at one of Tony's desks, then I shoot it. Hoping to hear someone move because of the loud noise. But instead nobody moves. I sense some source of heat with my powers but I can't tell if it's a machine or an alive body.

"Come out" I say, tiptoeing around the level, pointing my gun in every direction as I wait for someone to come out.

I hear a pen click in one of the side offices. I swerve around, holding my gun in line with my shoulders, my arms straight.

I enter the room where the side office door is, as I approach the door, a sense of fear rushes over me.

The dark wooden door stands in front of me, I hear someone typing in the side office. I take a deep breath and close my eyes. I don't know who's in the side office but they must be powerful if they can take every avenger.

I extend my right leg out in front of me and kick the door over, I quickly hold my gun back out in front of me.

The side office is small, I stand in the doorway and I look in, a black office chair is slowly spinning, nobodies sitting in it.

The dark wooden door lays on the floor in front of me and I step in the room, quickly swerving around to my left, my gun extended out in front of me.

Nat's gun is loaded - ready to shoot. It's aiming 3 inches away from Baron Zemo's forehead.
