"Stones..." Moss said, a voice as soft as well... moss.
"Yes?" Said stone with a voice full of gravel
"Do you ever think that we will be a story?"
"What is it that you mean, Moss? After all we are part of lots of stories."
"Well, yes." Moss said. "But it is.... Look at it like this, sure we are in Romeo and Juliet but it is just so that Romeo can step on you and Juliet can complain about me."
"Sure we are in Dramas, but what are we for? You get thrown across the lake and I get brushed away."
Moss sighed.
Stones nodded, their rocks falling down a bit.
"But don't you see, we are an important part of the story." Stone said, getting worked up.
"If I weren't there then what would Romeo step on, why the story would just be everyone falling to their deaths, and that wouldn't be fun."
"Juliet wouldn't be a brat and so no one would have debates about whether it was Romeo's fault or Juliet's because it would've been obvious, it would no longer be interesting."
"Ok..." Moss said, "but what about everything else, we barely play a part."
Stones sighed. "If I weren't there, then no one would be able to skip me across the lake. If you weren't there then no one would be able to brush your stains off someones jeans so they could fall in love."
"So you see, Moss, we are the most important roll. If we weren't there then some of the most important parts in the stories would not exist and the story would be a lot different, maybe not even there."
Moss nodded. "I mean, sure but we barley get shown and we are never written about."
"That is where you are wrong, Moss." Stones said, smiling.
"There might even be a story being written about us right now, having this conversation."
Moss laughed. "No way, after all, who would right about us, the air?"
Stones shrugged, "Perhaps, after all, if the air wasn't there then there would be no stories to tell."
Moss sighed. "I suppose..."
Stones smiled gently. "If you weren't there then the animals that eat you would die and and the animals that eat that animal would die and eventually the humans would die."
"Everything is connected, Moss, everything is connected."
