Alexander walked along the trail of rocks and stones, wandering along, and ending up lost... He was near what looked to be a forest? The woods? It was not too far from where he'd gotten lost at... Though, of course he couldn't be blamed. He wasn't in a place like home where he'd know what way to walk, or which path to turn.
He started into the woods. It was safer than being out in the open, right? He wasn't sure. In fact he felt slightly in danger as he walked alone in the foggy woods.
Alex eventually lost focus. He was just walking. Alexander heard a sort of walking sound, but not human... Some kind of animal maybe. He his by pushing himself against a tree. He held his breath at the sight of a large white animal with spots and stripes. The animal sniffed around, looking for something. While Alexander observed the animal he noticed it's oddly human like eyes. He tried to slightly sneak to the side, his heart pounding with his fear rising. The animal walked away from the area, it's cat tail trailing along. Alexander took deep breaths as he watched it walk away.
"...What was that...?" He asked himself in a whisper. He took a moment trying to figure out what that animal had been. He had noticed at some point as well that nothing made sense... Well it did, but it didn't. It was unreal. Something he'd always dreamed of, but never actually expected.
"Lost?" Asked a deep accent coated voice, as Alexander continued to walk in the woods. Alex whiped around to see who it was, but all he saw was a small poof of smoke. He sighed.
"Just my imagination..." Alex said to himself, turning back around. As his head turned, inches from his face was a smiling tabby cat with teal stripes. It was floating, it's puples turned to slits as it layed eyes on Alex.
"Surly not." The tabby said, his puples dilating. Alexander gasped.
"W-Who..." Alexander stuttered. The cat chuckled, disappearing.
"I am Cheshire Cat." The cat's voice appeared behind Alexander. Alex turned quickly to face the cat. "My friends call me Chess." The tabby smiled. Alexander took a step back.
"Did you ask if I was lost?" Alexander tried to sound calm. Chess nodded.
"Aren't you?" Cheshur asked. Alex nodded hesitantly, taking another step back. Chess's smile widened.
"You know, you remind me quite a bit of a friend of mine." Cheshire mentioned. Alex gave a confused look.
"And... Why do you bring that up?" Alexander asked, squinting. Cheshur sighed.
"Well, I suppose if you really are lost, then I can take you to the Hatter and the Hare. But that'll be it for me." Alexander blinked.
"Sorry, who?" Alex asked slowly. Cheshur appeared next to him.
"The mad Hatter and the March Hare." He grinned. Alexander shook his head.
"Why would I go to someone mad?" Alexander said, confused and a bit conflicted.
"Because..." Cheshur's eyes dialate. "We're all mad here." Alexander looked a bit worried now, as Chess disappeared. The feline appeared again nearby.
"So- uh... How far away are the... Hatter and Hare?" Alex asked following along Cheshur's path. Chess didn't answer.
Alex wasn't sure how to feel. He was following the cat, assuming it was a lie that he haden't needed help.
Alex watched his step VERY carefully. Especially after this situation. He'd not had a single chance to ask where he was anyhow.
After lots of time walking in the woods, Alex could hear clinking glass, and small amounts of chatter in the distance, where he also saw a sun lighted opening. He was only able to assume this was his destination.
