"You did not,"
"Yeah. Except, a little bit, I did."
"You slept with Amelia? Dude, she wouldn't even sleep with me." Luke arrived at the bar at 10:28 A.M to pick me up.
"Well, she was kind of totally wasted." I admitted to him. "Not surprised.. No one would willingly sleep with you if they were sober," he replied. "She did willingly sleep with you right? Or do I need to call the police?"
"She was willing, creep."
"Calum, dude. You need to lock her down. Before she figures out and runs. She would freak if she knew."
And by "figures out" he is referring to the fact that I am a 21 year old virgin. Or, rather, was a 21 year old virgin. "Relax. It was a one night stand. I'll probably never even see her again." And then, of course, the door opened and who should walk in but Amelia and what's-her-face. Right on cue. She made eye contact and then looked straight to the floor. I turned back to the bar and downed the beer I had sitting in front of me.
"Oh, my God. Calum. It's 10:30 in the morning, how did you just do that?" Luke put a hand on my back, probably expecting me to throw up. I'm not much of a drinker. And then he saw what I saw. "Oh, shit. Okay well so much for never seeing her again"

I walk out of my room and go into the bathroom and look around. Still no sign on my phone. I wanted to put Calum's number in it before I forget. "Hey, have you seen my phone?" I ask Mary Beth, walking into the kitchen to see if I left it on the table. She shakes her head and takes a drink of her coffee. "Okay, well I think I left it at the bar last night. Go with me to check?" She shakes her head again and I grab her forearm and, quite literally, drag her out the door.
First thing I see when I walk into the empty bar: Calum. He's sitting in front of Marshall and next to Luke Hemmings, who has tried to hook up with me more than once. We make eye contact and he turns around and chugs his entire beer. "Hey, look. It's your virgin." Mary Beth whispers in my ear, nudging me towards him. "Not mine. Not a virgin." I look at the ground, wondering how the hell I'm going to ask Marshall about my phone with him sitting right there. "Oh, sorry. My bad. Your dirty slutty non virgin. Better?"
I roll my eyes and go for it. I walk across the bar to Marshall, now standing behind Luke and Calum. Luke's eyes are glued to me and I'm not the least bit surprised. "Morning, Amelia." Marshall says, clearly knowing how awkward this is for me judging by the smile on his face "Hi. Did I leave my phone here last night?" I tuck my hair behind my ear while he searches around behind the bar. He pulls it out and hands it to me. "Sorry, would have charged it for you but I don't have that kind of phone." I push the home button. Black screen. I push the power button. And it's dead. Awesome.
I curse under my breath and Calum turns around and we make awkward eye contact yet again. I reach a hand in my pocket and pull out a small slip of paper, which has my number on it. Luke and Mary Beth are talking and I take the opportunity to give Calum the paper. "Phone's obviously dead. Can't call you, you call me"
