Luna shut the window, the sound the walkers surrounding Alexandria cutting off. She sighed, leaning against the windowsill. Judy cooed from the ground behind her, throwing one of her toys down. From the window, Luna could see what was left of Alexandria gathering at part of the wall, Rick talking to them. When they started to disperse she turned around, running a hand over her face before picking Judy up and starting downstairs. She moved around the kitchen, starting to gather up something for Judy to eat when the front door opened.
"What's going on?" She asked, glancing over her shoulder to see Carl coming into the kitchen.
"Half of the walkers from the quarry broke off and followed my dad back." He said, leaning against the counter next to her and holding out his hands. She shifted Judy into his arms. "The others are still out there, some of them at least. Glenn, Nicholas, Sasha, Abraham and Daryl. They all have walkies so my dad's gonna try and contact them, tell them what's going on and figure out a plan."
"And the walls are gonna hold?" She asked.
"They should." He nodded. "We just have to stay quiet and keep the lights off at night." She nodded, sighing. "What?"
"Is this it?" She asked lightly. "Is this...I mean did we survive and fight to get here, just for it to all end like this?"
"No." He shook his head. "No, my dad is gonna figure it out, okay? He always does." Luna looked up at him. "He will."

Luna turned over in bed, seeing Carl pulling on his boots.
"Where are you going?" He turned around, shooting her a smile.
"Morning." He turned back around, going back to tying his boots. "Ron wants my dad to teach him to use a gun, I'm going with."
"Why?" She asked. "I'm sure your dad can handle it."
"Honestly?" Carl sighed, sitting up and looking back at her. "I don't trust Ron."
"What? Why not?" She asked, sitting up.
"Yesterday...I went to talk to him about Enid." He said. "He was just...off, I dunno. Threatened to tell my dad if I went out looking for her, said that I was trying to steal her from him or something. I dunno, I just don't trust him. Not with a gun, and not with my dad."
"Well just be careful then, alright?" She asked, holding out her hand. He stood up, walking around to her side of the bed before taking her hand. "I don't think you need to get shot for a third time." He chuckled, nodding. He leaned down, pressing a kiss to her lips.
"Have a good day." He said as they pulled away. "Which tower will you be on?"
"Seven." She said, pushing the covers off her. "And since Sasha's not back, I have a double shift." She stood up, stretching lightly. "You're free to stop by whenever you want."
"I will, after I'm done with my dad and Ron." He said as he started towards the door. "Love you."
"Love you too." She listened to his footsteps down the stairs as she started to pull together an outfit for the day, and he was gone by the time she entered the kitchen. Carol was feeding Judy, so she grabbed an apple, a book, and said goodbye before heading over the armory. Olivia gave her a rifle, and she made her way down to tower seven, which was near the church. By the time she got there, she could see Gabriel leaving, a stack of papers and a roll of tape in his hands. She threw the rifle over her back as she climbed the tower, relieving Francine who'd been up all night. She glanced down at the walkers before taking a seat, flipping open her book and biting into her apple.

It was early afternoon when Luna finished her book. She figured it'd take longer, but since Carl hadn't stopped by to distract her she'd managed to finish the entire thing. She sighed, shutting it and standing up, peering down once again at the walkers. She saw something rising in the distance that caught her attention. A group of green balloons, rising into the sky from the town just outside the walls. The sound of wood cracking loudly filled the air, and she whipped around just in time to see the old bell tower collapse onto the wall, crushing it. Her hands gripped the wood railing in front of her as she watched in disbelief, walkers beginning to flood inside.
