For many adults, debts, families, and jobs often propel their life forward at breakneck speeds.  Quickly leaving the realms of childhood, they experience a feigned sense of vitality which is neither real nor healthy for their journey.  They make life their enemy, something that needs to be conquered.  Like power-hungry warlords, they crash forward with all their might so that they might force life into submission, neglecting any opposition that begs them to slow down or stop.  Some people are so caught up in this conquest that they will pursue their goals beyond any sensible means to do so.  They move too fast and end up neglect their bodies, refusing to appreciate them as vehicles that need upkeep and maintenance.  Sometimes, they can become so caught up in this race that they are blinded to everything around them.  Like bulls, they charge forward, smashing apart anyone or anything that gets in their way.  They continue like animals, disregarding this mess and digging deeper into the pit they’ve created.  Finally, they reach their goal.  At this point, no one else is around.  This moment was their one desire for so long that all else was left behind long ago.  Now that they finally attained this long-sought-after treasure, they realize that there is no one to share it with.  For some, they will deny this truth until the end of their days.  Upon their death bed, they will finally realize what they’ve missed and will spend their last moments of life in horror.  For others, the shock will plunge them into the darkness that they have created for themselves.  In these dark realms of realization, they will finally understand how futile their persistence had been.  They will feel the pain they have caused.  In their last moments, they will feel sorry and will quietly fall asleep.
