"Mom?" fear tinged Delylah's words with a slight shiver. "Mom..?" she said quietly, tears welling up in her eyes, "Mom please wake up!"
Silent.
Dead Silent.
"Mom no! No, you can't leave! Yesterday, y-yesterday you told me you would be alright! Mom you promised!" tears streamed down her face. "Mom!" she sobbed.
Katerine saw what was happening. The sickness was taking over her mother's body and she was slowly dieing. She came up behind her little sister and scooped her up. "NO!" Delylah lashed out, screaming and thrashing her body to and fro, "MOM!" her tear soaked face shriveled up with dread and sadness crept into her heart. "Don't go.." she whispered.

"KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK"
I shook awake. Rubbing my head I went to the front door.
"Why hello, are your parents home?"
Two rich looking men, a stout, fat one and a stick think one with glasses stood beforeme with the most fake smiles I had ever seen plastered on their faces.
"I'm the guardian here."
The men side glanced eachother and I rose an eyebrow, "Problem?"
"Well, you see, erm.. You are too young to be a guardian, 28 and over, I believe, that is the rule." said the stout one.
"Yes, yes and you don't look anything over 18!" the thin one piped up.
My eyes narrowed, "What's your buisness here?" I spat
"Well, you see, we have been informed that a Delylah Dyvine lives here?" The thin one replied.
"And what's your buisness with her?" I said, narrowing my eyes.
"She is registered here as a legal orphan, due to the fact that her mother, Al....Ali-Alice Dyvine? Oh dear.. how dreadfully awful.. Miss Dyvine was a most.. erm.. interesting part of our community." the stout one said while my stomach turned in knots and I could feel tears behind my eyes.
"Yes, yes. She will be missed." the thin one spoke with false pity behind his voice.
Yeah right you evil kniving little worm. You thought she was crazy. You all did! I thought while the anger filling my head distracted me from hearing them talk.
"-And we would like to take her to an orphanage, very safe, I assure you, where you could visit her everyday if you'd like, and when you turn 28, she's yours!"
Just then Delylah came up with a grim look on her face. I put my arm around her.
"You're up!" I said, weakly smiling.
She just nodded and looked at the two men in front of the house.
"Why hello there dear, How are you?" Said the stout one.
"She doesn't talk."I growled through gritted teeth.
She gave him a look and it was obvious she was creeping him out. I could see a small smile on the corners of her mouth and my heart warmed.
"Odd child.." the stout one murmmered quietly.
"You have three weeks and we are collecting her," he smiled a cheekily false smile, "Be ready little girl." And then he stalked away with his partner.
"She's not a little girl! She's 14!" I yelled in desperation. Delylah looked up at me. "Don't look at me like that Lylah, I'll find a way to get you to stay."
I hope.
