Splintered

Chapter 1

Alyssa Sharps PoV
I was being chased by a leopard and wolf hybrid : a bandersnatch. I felt the wind whipping my golden brown hair behind me as I jumped over a fallen birch tree, I felt a sharp tug from my hair and I was dragged back. I let out a ear-splitting shriek as I was flung into a nearby boulder. I felt something thick and wet dripping from my lower lip, I swiped at it with my right index finger. blood. The bandersnatch approached me with barred bloody teeth. He opened his jaws as wide as a lions and lunged. I opened my mouth to scream but nothing came.

bring, Bring, BRING!!!

I woke up sweating like I had just run a marathon. I pulled my hair from the back of my neck as some sweat dripped down my head and into my eyes. I swiped at my eyes, trying to rid them of sweat. I looked around my small room/house.

It was a small room with blue walls and white carpet. A large bookcase lined one of the walls while a landscape painting of a birch tree and some sun filtering through the leaves. My small wardrobe was made out of elm wood filled with my small selection of clothes (shirts, shorts, skirts, etc.). No windows yet I could breath, only one door which was heavily guarded by the queens guards. A small flap was carved into the door to let food in, a small sink and shower were also included in my little room.

I leaped out of bed and ran into the bathroom, I splashed water onto my face in attempt to feel better. The water felt cool and refreshing on my sweaty body.

There was a knock on my wall I turned around at it knock, knock, knock. I slowly removed the slab of concrete from the blue wall. There, on the other side of the wall was a boy.

His name was Grayson. He had firey red hair that was spiked up in different place and deep gray eyes. he was also still in his night clothes and he always seemed to have a goofy smile on. His room had maroon walls and brown carpet.
"Hey Grayson," I said sleepily.
"Hey Alyssa," he said shakily for some reason lately he seemed a bit shaken up....

I heard footsteps pounding down the corridors, the guards were coming.
