As The Rain Fell

The smell of newly bought fresh flowers being held thin in a small, porcelain vase on the table. The busy buzzing, beeping vehicles on the noisy streets as they went on their ways to their desired destinations. The smell of medicine eradicating through the air, mixing with the cold and sweet smell of lavender from the air conditioner. She liked it, never growing tired? Sarcasm. Maybe a bit. And the sun shining, peeking through the window pane near her bed she hadn't left for how many years. She couldn't remember, she already lost count.

Her parents are always out, away. She understood the situation since they were busy doing their business. She felt guilty. The female just sighed as she looked through the window, yet, all her daydreaming was stopped by an unfamiliar voice of a female. She looked confusedly at the door as it opened after a knock.

"Miss Vrai Candida?", A woman in her thirties, wearing a familiar outfit the female used to see for years already, holding a silver tray that has items that were familiar to the female as she called out. She was staring intensely at the woman, making the woman sweatdrop and call her out once again, just enough to bring her back to her senses. She looked at the nurse with an innocent look on her face, wondering where the nurse who used to come to the room during this time.

"A-Ah yes, sorry, hello, I am Vrai Bonheur Candida. Is it time for me to drink my medicine? T-Thank you for the effort of coming here to give those-!", The female, who was Vrai, panicked slightly as she embarassingly smiled.

"I get it. The nurse who used to come here, Miss Pelgrims have something very important to do and requested a leave for five days." The woman in a uniform for nurses, chuckled softly as she approached her. "I believe you lived up to your name, what was it, again? Ah, Candy", She gently said as she carefully passed a cup of clean water and some medicine to her, which she gladly took in her hands and drank it before giving it back to her.

"A-Ah n..no..", Candy just looked down shyly while shaking her head lightly, making the nurse laughed softly before giving her a rub on her head. The nurse was about to take her leave after teasing the poor girl but was stopped on her tracks when she saw the door being opened after being knocked once, revealing another nurse who was with a female who looked like she was in her mid twenties.

Candy was confused on what was happening, she looked up slowly to see a crowd by the door of the room she was in. Her short black wavy locks swaying gracefully as she turned her head. But what caught her attention the most was the male teenager that looks like he was at the same age as her. He seemed to be with the unfamiliar female next to the other next by the door.

She jolted startledly as she looked away immediately when the male's cold gaze suddenly met with her's. Candy could feel her heart beating so fast, she almost called the nurse to check her heart rate but thinking it was inappropriate for the situation and that she was just over reacting, she just shrugged it off.

'What was that?', She thought to herself.
