Chapter 4

When Haneul headed out of her house, she was greeted with Oikawa and Iwaizumi.

"Hey, Lee-chan!" Oikawa waved.

"Hey," Iwaizumi greeted.

"M-Morning...!" Haneul said in a low voice.

"Did you bring your lunch today?" Iwaizumi asked.

"L-Lunch...?" Haneul tried to translate before her face lit up. "Yes, bring lunch...!"

She patted her bag where she placed her lunch in. Iwaizumi nodded before they headed to school.

When they arrived at their school building, they began to walk up the stairs to head to the third floor. Haneul was walking ahead of the other two, but suddenly Iwaizumi grabbed her forearm.

"H-Hajime...?" Haneul looked at him with wide eyes.

Iwaizumi did not say anything and wrapped his jacket around her waist. 

"U-Um..." Haneul looked at him in confusion.

"Your skirt is too short. It's better to cover it while you use the stairs," he said.

Haneul understood the words, short, that she nodded with a smile. "T-Thank you, Hajime...!"

Iwaizumi looked away with a faint blush before going up the stairs. Oikawa, who witness this scene, had a teasing smile as he quickly caught up to him. "Iwa-chan is trying to act cool in front of Lee-chan!"

"Kusokawa, shut up!" Iwaizumi yelled with a tick mark as he slapped his friend's head.

"Lee-chan! Iwai-chan slapped me!" Oikawa cried as he hugged her.

Haneul panicked at the sudden contact but gently patted where he got slapped. "P-Painful... a lot...?"

Haneul then ruffled through her pocket and pulled out a lollipop. She then handed it to Oikawa. "H-Here...! No p-pain...!"

Oikawa stared at her blankly at the bubbly feelings inside him at her actions. When Oikawa did not move, Haneul tilted her head. "N-No c-candy...? Not l-like...?"

Oikawa quickly snapped out of his daze before accepting the lollipop. "I like them! Thank you, Lee-chan!"

Haneul smiled in relief. Meanwhile, Iwaizumi who saw this scene furrowed his brows before looking away. "Let's go before the bell rings."

Haneul sighed in relief when she saw the topic in her textbook. She might have a hard time with Japanese, but at least she gets the idea and catch up to the topic quickly. Since it was math, she didn't have that many problems aside from word problems.

Haneul was answering them with ease until she heard a grumble beside her. She glanced at Iwaizumi and see that he had furrowed brows as he ruffled his hair. Haneul gulped, hoping to calm her nerves before she tapped him. "H-Hajime..."

Iwaizumi turned to look at her. "What is it? Do you not understand something?"

"Me... h-help you..." She said as she showed her notebook.

Iwaizumi's eyes widened as he stared at her. Haneul did not notice his eyes and showed him a full solution, hoping he can understand it even with her broken Japanese when she explains. 

Fortunately, Iwaizumi understood her explanation that he thanked her and was able to finish answering the assigned questions. "Thanks, Haneul."

Haneul smiled at him. "Thank you, too..."

Iwaizumi did not understand why she will thank him but just nodded his head.

Soon lunch has arrived that the other three came over to their class like the previous day. "Lee-chan! Iwai-chan!"

Haneul waved at him while Iwaizumi groaned. As they enjoyed their lunch together, the four of them tried their best to hold a conversation with Haneul as well.

"How were your classes?" Hanamaki asked.

"F-Fine...! Hajime h-help me," she replied.

"Iwa-chan keeps acting cool in front of Lee-chan!" Oikawa commented.

Iwaizumi glared at his childhood friend.

"At least it's only in front of her and not to the whole fangirls like someone," Matsukawa said in a teasing manner.

"Are you talking about me?!" Oikawa asked in shock.

"That's true," Hanamaki nodded, pretending to think. "Iwaizumi is way better. At least it's only for one person."

"Makki?!" Oikawa looked at him with wide eyes.

As Iwaizumi joined in as well, Oikawa whined with a pout while the other three continued to tease him. 

"Lee-chan, help me! They are bullying me!" Oikawa cried out to her.

She doesn't know what exactly was the funny part, but something about their interaction made her laugh. She could tell that they were teasing Oikawa about something and Oikawa and asking for her help.

As she laughed in glee, the four of them stared at her with a look of amazement. When she realized their reaction, her eyes widened as she covered her face with both of her hands. She blushed as she apologized to them. "S-Sorry..."

"Why?" Hanamaki asked in confusion.

"Me... u-ugly... laugh..." She looked down.

"What are you talking about?" Iwaizumi said. "It's cute, don't worry."

Iwaizumi must have realized a second late of what he said that he gradually turned pink. Meanwhile, Haneul understood the word, cute, that she turned into a brighter shade of pink. When the other three saw this, they smirked. "Heh~ What is this pink aura we are seeing?" 

"Someone give me some popcorns!" Matsukawa said.

Iwaizumi turned into a brighter shade before yelling at them. "Shut up!"

The others laughed at his reaction. They finally had something to teased Iwaizumi about.
