Queen of Benevento

An Experience

Felix is sitting in her room while reading a book until a voice intrupted her...

"Felix?" A familiar voice with excitement called her

"Aaron" she called him with smile... Aaron is duke Xavier's Son and next duke of the west...

"What are you doing here?" Asked Felix walking towards him.. They met only Twice but still able to become good friends.. Felix never met any man other than her grandfather, Uncle and brother Zade until Aaron showed up challenging her in sword fight when they are 12.. in which both of them ended up wounded... And the 2nd time it was on her 15th birthday ball... Aaron messed with Josephine's dress.. and ended up grounded by Duke Xavier for whole week... Felix felt bad for him over then...

"Her highness wanted me here" he said....

"Really why did Mother want you?" Asks Felix with confused face.. to which he shook his head expressing that he had no idea about it...

"Princess your highness wanted you and lord in Dinning room" says the servent lowering her head... Bowing both of them

"What is going on?" Asks Felix to which Aaron shakes his head in not knowing..

Both of them walks to the dinning room only to see Xavier, Apollo and Alfieri sitting Along with Katherina and waiting for them...

"My greetings to the dukes" says Felix sitting beside Apollo both Xavier and Alfieri greeted her back

"My greetings Your grace" Aaron greeted Katherina to which Katherina smiles at him with adoration... He settles between his father and Duke Alfieri and opposite to Felix

"Felix is already 17... In 3 years she will be taking the throne" says Katherina making everyone nod their heads yes..

"You all know that she never experienced pain or suffered.. she grew up in the palace between the people who spoiled her ..So I thought of sending her outside to experience the life of a common people for 3 years... It's really important for a queen to know how a common man life be" says Katherina making Felix eyes go wide... Did her mother actually say that she should suffer? Unfortunately everyone in the room except Felix agreed with her mother even Aaron

"And I want Aaron to go with her... " Continues Katherina looking at Aaron who now wided his eyes in shock...

"That's a wonderful idea your highness" says Xavier nodding his head in accepting.... completely ignoring Aaron's opinion

"Mother but I can just go out and stay all day and come back home" says Felix wanting to convince her mother

"No Felix it's not upto discussion... It's an Order and I want to test you wheather you fit or unfit for a queen" speaks Katherina with her cold queen tone... Understanding that she can't change her mother's mind Felix simply nodded her head...

"Uncle Apollo Don't talk to me.. you didn't even argue with mother's decision" says Felix with frustration who is sitting in the Garden along with her cousins, uncle and aunty and grandfather and grandmother..

"Even I think it's a good thing to do Bianca" says Apollo calmly.. to which Anna nods her head in acceptance.. but both of her cousins and her grandparents aren't happy with her living a normal life...

"Grandfather why can't you speak to mother?" Asks Felix with puppy eyes..

"Don't do that Felix.. I am not going to listen to anyone...not even father and mother" says Katherina walking towards them

"But Katherina do you think our little girl can stay among them... People are not always good" complaints Mary in support of her granddaughter

"Yes... Then she should just get married and be a another good wife instead of queen" says Katherina to which Felix stand from the place she is sitting in disbelief

"I don't be an ordinary wife... I am born to be queen" shouts Felix

"Then prove it " says Katherina challanging her daughter...

"Fine... I am going to prove my worth" says Felix accepting the challenge....

"That is my girl" says Katherina hugging her daughter...

Aaron and Felix are walking in woods...

"Do you have any idea where we are going?" Asks Aaron

"No... Lets just walk till we find a village and lets stay there for night and start our journey in the morning" says Felix

"So we don't stay in a place?" Asks Aaron to which she shook her head no

"This is first time I came outside properly... So I want to go to every corner of my kingdom" she explains to which he nods ...

"Do you know why your highness Asked me to go with you?" Asks Aaron with a smrik

"Because my mother wants to keep a responsibility on my head... To see If will be able to protect the one who depend on me" says Felix... Her answer made Aaron to pout ..

"No she wanted me to protect you" argued Aaron making Felix to laugh...
