Homecoming

It's already been 3 years... It's time for them to return... Aaron is happy to go back but Felix isn't ready to face her mother... She still blames herself for Gabriel's death... It's Killing her from inside... Gabriel's Memorial day is not so far she wanted to go back after that... But Aaron insisted on going back early...

They were on their way back to the palace... They are sure that everyone will be there to greet them.

"Felix just let go of the memory... People die our partners may die but still we should continue our journey in life...." Says Aaron which made her nod.. nobody can ever understand her pain except the grey-haired man... They have this guilt in common...

After a long journey, they finally reached the palace... Felix is mentally prepared to greet them with a smile... At least fake smile... And hid her pain to herself... She is afraid of her family knowing about Gabriel's death... Everyone will blame her for being irresponsible... Her mother will surely refuse to make her queen.. of course being a queen or not is her concern now but what if they hate her... She can't let their eyes have hatred when they see her...

As soon as she stepped into the palace she is greeted by a warm smile... That itself calmed her heart... She ran towards her mother and hugged her tight.. it was so comfortable and easy for her now... She feels like the weight of regret in her heart is gone with her mother's touch... Mother is a wonderful feeling.

"My baby girl... I missed you" says Katherina with tears glassed her eyes...

"I missed you to mother," she said. Katherina placed a kiss on her forehead making Felix breathe out the air that she is holding and relax into her mother's embrace... Nobody in this world can give her this feeling instead of her mother.

Before she could realize anything she is greeted by a tight hug from behind no two hugs from behind

"Jos and Zade ... I missed you both," she said pulling them to her front and hugging them back...

"Felix we were spending the whole time together from now... I badly missed you" said Josephine making Felix laugh... Felix kissed Zade on his cheeks and Josephine on her forehead...

"Where the hug for your old grandfather?" Came a voice of her grandfather which made her jump with joy... She ran towards him and hugged him

"Grandfather I missed you," she said still in his hug... Edward hugged her like she is his precious gem... And looked at her with a lot of adoration...

"My granddaughter changed a bit in These 3 years," he said placing a kiss on her forehead...

"She lost weight... She became thinner" complained another voice .. recognising the voice a smile spread on her face...

"Grandmother" called Felix hugging her...

"I am not sending my granddaughter anywhere anymore," says Mary hugging Felix and looking at Katherina with a frown

"Even I am not sending my daughter anywhere... She proved herself" says, Katherina... But Felix mentally thought no mother I failed... I am unfit to be queen

She is pulled from her thoughts when her eyes fell on familiar figures. Who is looking at her with proudness?

"Uncle Apollo, Aunt Anna," said Felix hugging them together......

"I told you that day Katherina.. my niece come back to us like a woman," says Apollo making Katherina laugh.

"She became a beautiful woman," says Anna... Rubbing Felix's back

In the meantime Aaron greeted his parents ... Everyone gathered in the dining room... Alfieri along with his family also joined them. there must be an announcement

"There is this ball which is celebrated by our neighbourhood kingdoms once in every 5 years..... and The heirs of the kingdom should participate in this ball," says Katherina.

"So Felix, Josephine, Aaron, Nathan (Son of Alfieri and 2 years older to Felix and Aaron) will be going there this year," says Katherina looking among them... They simply nodded their head.

"Than me?" Asked a voice...

"Zade you are just 15," says Katherina pulling his cheeks...

"But I do not kid Aunt Katherina," he says pouting...

"No zade... You will be participating in the next one" says Apollo... To which Zade frown...

"Fine you can join but you will not do anything that harms your sister Felix's reputation... It's about her pride among the kings..." says Katherina to which Zade smiled wide and nodded his head with happiness...

Felix after a long time walked into her room and sat on her comfortable and heavenly bed... As soon as her body touched the mattress her body relaxes into the warmth of the bed... A yawn escaped her mouth advising her to sleep...

She closed her eyes and in no time she is completely drifted into a peaceful sleep...

Katherina walked into the Felix room and saw her peacefully sleeping daughter... Her heart is filled with motherly love... Even though Felix is on the trip for three years. Katherina spied her daughter only to know about her daughter's wellbeing...
She knew everything that her daughter did in these 3 years... She is proud of her daughter's achievements

Gabriel's death didn't only affect Felix it even affected Katherina... When she came to know about him she instantly felt happy that there will another person joining her family... After his death, Katherina felt pain not only because of Gabriel's death but for not being there beside her daughter when she was suffering...

Katherina moved her fingers into Felix's silky hair... Thinking of how much she Missed her daughter who is her world... She doesn't want her daughter to be queen... She is afraid that the peace on her face will be replaced with stress.. she can't see her daughter taking all the responsibilities alone..... She wants to save the innocence and happiness on Felix's face... When she takes the throne she should be cold and rude... She should kill her innocence...

Katherina placed a soft kiss on Felix's forehead and left the room not wanting to disturb her...
