My Best Friends Sister [K.YS]

Prologue

(This is my first fanfic ever. I was gonna do this as an original book with original characters but I wanted to force myself to do a fanfic instead so I'm more comfortable in my writing. Also, I'm not really good at these. So please be gentle with me)

Yeosang POV

My ears were ringing and my heart felt like it was about to explode.

"What," I asked Lia.

She smiled her beautiful smile at me, expecting happiness for her... but I was shocked and heartbroken.

"Sunjin and I are getting married. Isn't that great?"

I know I should feel happy for her, but honestly I'm not... but I wasn't going to tell her that.

"Lia... we're still in college... aren't you too a bit too young," I cautiously asked. I didn't want her to be upset with me. I wanted to tell her how I truly felt, but I was too scared to.

Her smile turned into a pout, "Yeosang, we're getting married soon because he plans to go overseas next semester and it's the only way we can be together. Plus, we already live together and have been together since 10th grade. This is just another step into our relationship. It's not like I'm telling you I'm unmarried and pregnant."

Genuinely, I still thought it was foolish of her, but I couldn't say that out loud. So instead I forced a smile and lied through my teeth, "Well in that case that's amazing and I'm happy for you!"

She squealed in excitement and her phone buzzed. She picked it up to read the text she received.

"Is that him," I asked, trying to hide the venom in my voice.

"Oh, no," she shakes her head. "It's my sister."

She is just full of surprises today, "...I didn't know you had a sister."

"Well, in my defense and hers... she's not the biggest people person and lives very privately. She doesn't talk much to anyone she's not friends with. Plus you never asked, and she basically lives down the hallway," she said mockingly.

"Since when."

"Since forever. She never comes downstairs when anyone that's not only me is around," she said as she quickly skimmed through the message. "Well, you'll get to meet her finally! She's gonna be helping me with wedding plans. I asked her to, she would've said no otherwise."

"Why not just meet her today if I'm going to meet her anyway?"

"Umm... she works a lot. She's goes to the same college with us... except she takes the night classes. Obviously she lives in the same dorm as me. And she's balancing a full time job on top of that. I'm assuming she's at work now and maybe has off in a couple of days. But yeah, you'll get to meet her," she looked back up at me with an even happier expression.

I smiled at her happiness. "You seem to like your sister more than Sunjin," I joked.

"Well she is my sister. And we only really had each other growing up. She's my life! I can't wait for you to meet her! My two absolute bestest friends will finally meet each other!"

Her eyes twinkled as she talked about her sister, and for her sake... I really hoped her sister would like me.
