Ranboo wasn't expecting Niki to be so kind. After all, she had just met him, and surely she should've been a bit wary. But she made everyone soup and sandwiches, comforted Tubbo, and made sure Tommy was doing alright. She was the best person to go to, he decided.
Tubbo on the other hand was not doing well. He'd lock himself in the bedroom he claimed as his own for hours at a time, and only came out for food. When Ranboo entered the room, sometimes to get clothes, Tubbo was hunched over a book or staring at the wall, muttering to himself. When he asked Niki about it, she'd go in the room and come out with a sad expression.
Ranboo loved his husband, and was concerned but decided not to bother him for now.
It took Tommy a week or so to wake up. When he did, he started muttering about being close to his family. He wasn't turned, but he was manipulated by the vampires. Ranboo always comforted him, and this is when he saw Tubbo out of his room. He sat across from Ranboo and Tommy.
Ranboo was rubbing circles into Tommy's back as he cried a little, just confused as to what happened. He had been drugged, and that obviously would've had side effects. "Boo..why don't you just turn him already?" "Wh- Tubbo, I can't just do that!". Ranboo looked at his husband's face, looking for some form of a joke or humor. Tubbo was dead serious.
"Big man, I thought we agreed to you turning him." "No Tubbo, we never agreed." Tubbo sighed. "I don't wanna force it." Ranboo tilted his head in confusion. "I mean, I'd like if you didn't, and plus, you can't. I'm the one with the fangs and the venom."
Tubbo sighed again, and played with the necklace that he always wore. Ranboo had asked him about it once, the ominous smile haunting him if he was being honest. Tubbo didn't answer, he just laughed at him for being scared of a smile.
"I can force you. I mean, if you don't turn him, I'll have Niki turn him. If Niki doesn't want to, then I'll have someone else turn him. I asked you first cause I thought we always had each other's backs. Plus, Tommy most likely agrees." Tubbo smiled at Tommy. "You agree, don't you Tommy?"
Tommy shook his head no. "Bo, why are you acting like this." Ranboo's voice was firm, and strict. Tubbo glared at him, before sighing. "Whatever. Let's just hide him. I think my plan is better though."
Ranboo didn't exactly know what was going on with Tubbo, but he wish he knew. It would make this a bit better.
------
When Tommy woke up at Niki's, he honestly was afraid at first. Being manipulated by vampires is not cool, so he felt like he needed to be dependent on them. He's pretty sure they forced him to drink some kind of blood or something.
Besides that, it took about 3 days to get back to normal. Tubbo was acting weird, and Tommy didn't really enjoy that. He just wanted old Tubbo back. Niki was always nice to him though, and that made him feel better.
When he went to sleep, though, he always felt like people were watching him. It was logical, I mean, they probably were. The scary part is the fact that he so desperately wanted to go to them, to be in their arms again. On nights like those, he never really slept.
It was about a week before he was let outside. They were in a remote area, but Niki, Ranboo, and Tubbo still accompanied him, but he loved it outside. It took every single bone in his body, though, to not try running back to Phil.
He sighed as he was shopping. They needed more supplies for the house, and more food in general. Tubbo, Niki, and Ranboo were in the bread section, while Tommy volunteered to look for soup.
While looking for soup, he didn't notice a familiar tall man walking up to him before he started speaking. Tommy was in the middle of picking out either chicken noodle soup or vegetable soup.
"Tommy..don't you wanna come back with us?" Tommy's head filled with cotton. Why did he want to follow the words oh, so bad? He looked at the man who said it, and saw Wilbur. Wilbur! He immediately ran up and hugged him.
"Hey buddy, I missed you too!" Tommy failed to realize Wilbur had used his power on him. He just wanted to hear his voice more and more, it was like he was drunk on his voice. He smiled a goofy smile up at Wilbur.
"Aww, you're just so cute, aren't you?" He squished Tommy's cheeks, earning a giggle. "You wanna come home to us, right?" Tommy nodded. "Yes, yes, that's good Tommy! You wanna go right now?" Tommy smiled and nodded again. "Okay then, lets g-"
"Stop right there Wilbur." Niki was standing at the end of the aisle, all food discarded. Ranboo and Tubbo were at the side of her.
"Niki? Oh, Niki, I've missed you! You'll understand, right, that I have to take little Tommy home?" Niki scoffed. "Oh, really Wilbur? Not after you abandoned me on a battlefield. Give Tommy back, or face the consequences." Ranboo hissed slightly, showing his fangs, while Tubbo held a dagger in his hand, laced with enchantments that could kill a vampire.
"You have a half-vampire and a human on your team, Niki. I could easily call in Techno and Phil." "But you wouldn't, not in front of Tommy you wouldn't." Wilbur bit his cheek. "Stay to the side Tommy, okay?" Tommy found himself wanting to follow the words. He went to the side.
"Alright then Niki." Niki held her stance while Tubbo and Ranboo prepared to fight. "Remember when we used to dance in the ballroom for hours at a time?" Niki nodded. "Lets dance for the last time then!"
