Misunderstood

Chapter 9

You know the drill by now....

I woke up not feeling particularly excited for the day so I threw on some light make up just mascara and lipgloss I brushed my hair and threw it in a braid over my shoulder and my uniform which today is a black flowing skirt my white button up my tie lose around my neck and some black flats and my robes and as I walked out of my room into the hall I realized I wasn't wearing my ring my mother gave me which was weird because I only ever took it off when I was about to get my hands dirty and I hadn't done anything that requires getting my hands dirty lately so I walked back into my room and tore it apart looking for my ring I checked my sheets under my bed,my bathroom,shower, closet, hamper I checked everywhere and no sign of my ring I had already missed half of my first class so I thought I would go to Dumbeldore and ask him if he could cast some complicated spell or something to tell me where it is. I walked into the common room visibly stressed out when I heard a shrill high pitched voice say

"Rough day Lestrange?"

I turned to see who said it and it was Dracos "Girlfriend" Pansy Parkinson she was sitting next to Draco on the couch and a black boy on the chair across from them and another boy I knew as Theo Nott on the other chair

"Uhh yea I lost something important to me..."

"What is it perhaps I've seen it" she said as she ran her hand threw her hair and on her ring finger was it..MY RING

"THATS IT THATS MY RING" I said in a tone mixed with harshness and joy

"Oh is it" she said as she held her hand infront of her face to look at it while the boys was giggling

" yea it is can I have it back please" I said walking close to her to where I was probably five foot infront of her

"Nope finders keepers" she said as she let out the most annoying giggle ever while pulling her hand to her chest

"Where did you even find it" I said recalling that I had it on my finger last night "I know I was wearing it when I went to bed last night so where did you get it" I said getting very aggravated

"Oh I don't know just found it" she said twisting it on her finger

Then it hit me...I forgot to lock my door last night because I was pissed at Malfoy

"Did you come into my room last night and take it?"

She just smiled and shook her head like a child...I was livid I put my hands in fists beside me and Malfoy clearly noticed

"C'mon Pans just give it back" he said a little agitated

"No Drakie finder keepers" she said in the most pick me girl voice possible "why does she even want a ring like this anyways it's clear she has plenty" she whined and pointed at my hands where I had a ring on each finger except my ring finger in my right hand where that ring was supposed to be

"IT BELONGED TO MY MOTHER" I shouted luckily it was just us five in the common room at the time

"Alright Pansy give her the ring back" Blaise said standing up infront of Pansy holding his hand out

"Yea just give it back this ain't funny no more" Theo said in a bored and annoyed tone and I turned to look at him and noticed he was chewing on a tooth pick

"Come on boys yall are so boring" Pansy whined

Then Draco just grabbed her hand and yanked the ring off her finger and tossed it at me without saying a word leaving Pansy shocked. I caught it with one hand like I was expecting him to do it but I honestly wasn't so without showing any emotion when I caught it I slipped it on my finger and turned walked out of the common room all in one motion without pausing to think like a badass
