After finishing his classes, the young man went straight up to the flat he shared with his best friends. In there, Seonghwa, Yeosang and Yunho waited for him to start eating lunch.
The 18 year old opened the 8th floor and got in the small and cozy apartment, greated by his friends. They were already at the table with all set, when Hongjoong got in, he smelled curry and orange juice all over the place. He gave a big sniff to the air before quickly leaving his things and sitting down with the rest.
"Good day!" The smallest said before starting to devour the entire plate and almost chocking on his juice.
"Hey, slow down dude... you're gonna get yourself killed," Yeosang laughed off and patted his back.
"Yo, this is delicious, who made it?" He said with his cheeks filled.
Yunho pointed at Seonghwa. Of course Hwa had made it, he makes the best curry in the entire world. But Hongjoong was not going to express that spit out loud, so he just gave him a thumbs up and continued shoving food down his throat. Seonghwa didn't need any more compliments, seeing his best friend eat like that was enough.
"Did they made you run a marathon in tech class? How are you so hungry?" Yunho asked this time.
Without swallowing, the boy answered. "I was late today so I forgot to eat my breakfast and pack my snacks so I basically haven't eaten since yesterday night," He said barely understandable. His mouth was full of food.
"No talking with your mouth full," Seonghwa said.
"Sorry mom," Hongjoong joked.
"Oh, talking about mom's, hyung, your mom came and left some old books and plushies. She said that since they're moving you could keep them for a bit," Yunho told Hongjoong.
The older looked at him a little perplexed. Books and plushies? Why in hell would he want them taking space from their small dorm?
"Why would I-""Oh! And there's also tiny Hongjoong photos!" The tallest remembered.
As fast as — or even faster — than lighting McQueen, Yeosang and Seonghwa got up from the kitchen table and made their way to the living room, where a box was sitting on the sofa. When Hongjoong realised what was going to happen, he run behind them and tried to stop his friends. All ended up in a big fail, Yunho took his small frame and didn't let him scape.
"No! Not my kid pics! I'm sure I look ugly in those!" He tried persuading them from opening the box.
"We don't care, we are your best friends, I'm sure you'll look cute," Seonghwa said positively going through the box filled with small kid items.
"And if you look bad, I can make this a black-mail box." Yeosang smirked as he moved the pages of an old photo album. Then, he found a photo of Hongjoong with a yellow cap and eating a lollipop at the country side. His mother was behind him.
