Mia walked around fumbling with the tag she had latched onto her skirt. '#103' it read, lucky number 3.
"How-do, name's Tonpa." A fat man said while walking towards me "Pleased t' meetcha." He said while holding out his hand for me to shake. "Same to you" I responded while shaking his hand. "I gather your new" Tonpa questioned. "Yup" I said with a smile
"Hey, what say we drink a toast to friendship and luck!" He said while rummaging through his bag and pulling out two sodas. I gave him a suspicious look... I feel like something isn't right... "Sure, thank you" I said with a fake smile
He handed me the drink, cracked it open and took a fake sip. "I'll save this for later" I said while putting the soda in my purse.
"Ahahah ok! I'll see you later" He said with a fake laugh while walking away
I walked over to a vent running on the side of the tunnel and sat on it taking off my bag, grabbing out my walkman and putting on my headphones, before drifting off to sleep.
I woke up to the sound of screaming.
I looked over to see a man on the floor with his arms turning to flower petals...? With a clown look-alike standing above him.
"Oh, how peculiar~" The man cooed
"His arms seem to have become flower petals and disappeared, no smoke and mirrors here. Do be careful... when you bump into someone, you really should apologize." The man spoke
At this point everyone was staring at him and murmuring.
Shivers ran down my back 'How could someone do something like that to a person' I thought to myself

A large door in the tunnel began to open revealing a tall man with a purple mustache and what looked like no mouth.
"I apologize for the wait. The registration period for the Hunter Exam applicants has ended. The Hunter Exam will now begin!" The man announced
"A final word of caution. If you lack the necessary ability or if you're unlucky you will end up seriously injured or even dead. Those who accept the risks, please follow me. Otherwise, please exit via the elevator behind you." The examiner spoke.
No one moved.
Very well. All 404 applicants will participate in the First Phase." The examiner said before turning around a prancing off.
