Chapter 1

"Please be careful, sweetheart! Don't ruin this house while we are gone!" My mother, Willow, said as she held both of my cheeks in her warm motherly hands while kissing my head. I laughed at my mother as she worried over my safety like the mother she is. "Of course, I will be careful and not ruin this house. I've done it before." I told her, smiling. "Oh, we are so proud of you, dearie. Don't hesitate to call us if you need anything." My grandmother, Eloise, said smiling at me. "You know if I will, Grandmother." I said, winking at her. "What did we do to earn such an amazing daughter like you!" My father, Westin, said and hugged me tightly. "Come on, Mom and Dad. Stop fretting over Kaylin like you always do when we go on vacation. She knows how to take care of herself." The twins, Greyson & Roland, said with their arms crossed. "Oh, alright you two. Come along, let's put your stuff in the car and then help me." My grandmother said, taking their arms. "WAIT FOR US!!" The triplets, Arnie, Artie, & Annie, said running over with their rolling bags and duffle bags in their hands. "Come along as well." My grandmother said and they all left to the car. My parents turned to me and smiled. "Are you sure you don't want to come along? It wouldn't be an issue if you came, we would love having you with us." My mother said.

"Mom, Dad, I love you both but I haven't packed up and you know how much I love being in the house. Besides, I've been traveling for this past year with my class. I want to take a break." I told them. They both hugged me, kissed my head, and grabbed their stuff before heading to the car. They all piled in, waved to me, I waved back, and they went on their way. I shut the door, went into the living room, turned on the large flat screen television, and sat on the black plush couch. I saw that the delivery person who was giving me my large package was about 5 minutes away and got ready to unlock the door. A few minutes later, the delivery person knocked on the door and I opened it. "Package for Kaylin Langston?" He asked and I smiled. "That's me." I said and he nodded. "Have a good day!" He said and I waved. "You too!" I said, picking up the cardboard box, going inside, and shutting the door. I went back to the couch; grabbed my emergency backpack, suitcase, & duffle bag; and put them on the couch. I opened all of them up and grabbed a boxcutter. I opened up the tape, pulled it off, and opened the box. 

I pulled out my monthly box that I get from Philosophy, the company with the best smelling shampoo in the world, and smiled. I opened it up, opened up my reusable silicone shampoo bottle, and put the Vanilla Birthday Cake inside. I used four more of those bottles and put the same shampoo inside of them. I did the same for the Pink Frosted Animal Cracker and cinnamon bun before setting all 15 of the silicone bottles on the couch, making sure they were tightly closed. I grabbed some blue washer tape, took a piece off, grabbed a sharpie, wrote Vanilla Birthday Cake Shampoo, and put it on the silicone bottle. I did the same for the other two and put the washer tape & sharpie down. I grabbed the next thing in the box which was also something that I get monthly which is called Hello Charcoal Toothpaste without fluoride. I grabbed the silicone toothpaste container, put the toothpaste inside, and did the same for the rest of the other 9 containers. I did the washer tape, put the washer tape on the container, wrote Hello Toothpaste, and grabbed the next thing in the cardboard box. The next thing in the box was my favorite brand of conditioner, gel, lotion, and more which is Cantu. Since my hair is curly and thick and wavy, I have to use this brand since it is the best for my hair.

Grabbing the Complete Conditioning Co-Wash, I put it in the silicone conditioner container, put the washer tape on, wrote Conditioning Co-Wash, closed it tightly, and put it next to the shampoo & toothpaste. I heard barking and I looked over to see my own dog, Draconian, come over. "Hi Minature child. Lay down so you don't mess anything up." I said and he laid down on the floor next to the couch. I snorted, petted his head, and went back to what I was doing. All of a sudden, I heard a knocked on the door and Draconian ran over barking at the door. "I'm coming, child." I said, getting up, and walking over to the door. I opened the door and saw that it was.... "Kore? What are you doing here?" I asked her and let her inside before shutting the door. She was wearing Aliah Puff Chiffon Wrap Dress in the color Blush, Dorian Blush Suede Lace-Up Platform Heels, and a necklace with a blush colored diamond. "I need your help." She said to me and I crossed my arms. "The last time you said you needed my help, we did what you needed to do but you never took me to the Descendants World." I told her, raising one of her eyebrows. "It wasn't your time to go but now is the time and seems like you already prepared." She said, smiling lurking her eyes towards the couch where my emergency backpack, suitcase, and duffle bag were. "How will I know what my mission is?" I asked her, lifting up Draconian into my arms making him nuzzle his head against my jaw. "Your going to have to figure that out yourself. You'll have 3 days to figure it."
