Chapter 2

Third - POV

Morning

Nightwing was driving to Titan Tower on a road near an ocean shore. Damian was in the passenger seat, brooding over being forced to work with others, let alone, teens. Superboy and Krypto, the Kryptonian dog, were flying close behind the batmobile. "I could've driven myself" Damian spoke to Dick. "After the stunt you pulled? You're lucky to be allowed within 10 feet of a steering wheel" Nightwing smirked as he sped up, Superboy and Krypto following his lead, trying to keep up, but not pass them.

Superboy connected his earpiece to the batmobile, so he could be apart of the bits of the conversation he heard with his super hearing. "This counts as a punishment?" Superboy chimed in, "Yes" Robin sighed. "Actually, this isn't a punishment. You should be able to learn to be apart of a team" Nightwing spoke. "And they're not children, they're teenagers" "Worse" Robin groaned. "But.. aren't we teenagers?" Superboy asked, causing Nightwing to chuckle and Robin to groan.

"Wait, don't tell me... is Damian Wayne afraid of some socializing?!" Nightwing teased. Damian turned to Dick, aggravation obvious. "I'm not afraid of anything. Teammates are a liability" Damian defended himself as he faced forwards. "Really? Then what am I to you?" Dick asked, looking at Damian, who turned towards him. "An unavoidable irritation" Damian responded, leaning in Dick's direction before going back to his original position.

Y/N's giggle reverberated through the batmobile's speaker, further offending Nightwing. "Wahh~" Dick gasped dramatically, "Well Y/N doesn't think of me like that! Right?" Dick asked Y/N, but he stayed quiet, making Damian smirk. "Y/N?" Dick called. "Right?" Silence once again covered the inside of the batmobile. Dick lowered his head in a depressed style. Seeing this, Damian's smirk widened before a "T" shaped tower came into view, causing Damian to widen his eyes.

Titan Tower

4 of the Titans members are currently training in their training room, fighting against holograms. Blue Beetle was using his scarab to create weapons, and shields to fight against the holograms. Raven was flying as she used her powers to create telekinetic constructs to fight. Beast boy was constantly changing animals, dealing with the holograms, while Wondergirl was using her super strenght, barraging the holograms with punches and kicks. Raven throws 2 shield-frisbees that cut through a couple of holograms in half.

2 holograms with swords tried to sneak up on Raven but Wondergirl grabs one with her lightning lasso, shocking and destroying the hologram, while Beast Boy rammed into the other in rhino form. "You were having a nightmare last night" Beast Boy spoke to Raven, "Are you sure you alright?" Wondergirl chimed in, "Look, I appreciate your concern, I guess, but their dreams. Just dreams" Raven says to them before flying up and obliterating the remaining holograms with a black blast.

Beast Boy turned back to normal, placing his hands on his hips, oblivious to the fact he was naked. Cassie looked away immediately as Raven landed. Raven's eyes widen in surprise before looking away. "You know you're naked, right?" Raven asked, embarrassed for the green boy. "Huh? Waah!" Beast Boy screamed when he processed what she said. He covered his junk as he walks away, towards his uniform, which was conveniently laying on the floor outside the training field. "I overslept. Was rushing. Forgot to put on my uniform. Okay? So I sleep in the nude, so what?" He rants, putting his suit on.

"Animals are naked. I'm the entire animal kingdom, crammed into a single magnificent specimen" He finishes his rant as he walks over. "Your something crammed into something alright" Wondergirl snickers. Blue Beetle walks over to them as scarab laughed too. "What did it say?" Beast Boy asked, walking over to Blue Beetle, looking at the scarab. "It was laughing at you" Jaime interpreted. "Yeah, well, butt out bug" He then flicked the scarab, serving to anger it as it sends 2 jabs at Beast Boy, to which he turned into a fly to avoid.

"Keep that thing on a leash man!" Beast Boy yelled, "I told you, don't annoy it" Blue Beetle responded as Beast Boy lands, hiding behind Cassie as Blue Beetle's tentacles retract. "Jaime's right. That Scarab isn't a pet" Starfire says, walking over to the teens. "It may be fused to Jaime's spine, but it's not exactly under his control" She finishes. "It's like you and your pants" Raven comments to Beast Boy, making Cassie giggle. "That's why Jaime's here. That's why we're all here. To help each other control our gifts. Help one another become our best selves" Kori explains to the young heroes, "Where else are we gonna go? I mean, we're a bunch of freaks, right?" Jaime asked, gaining everyone's attention.

"C'mon Jaime, lighten up. We're all family here. We all serve under the same name" Cassie looked at Jaime with a smirk and a raised eyebrow. "Like the four Amigos" "six" Raven added, "seven" Starfire corrected, surprising everyone. They looked at her with both confusion and surprise. "We're getting a visitor"

- Bit Later-

The Titans were exiting the tower to greet their new members. As they walked out, they took notice of a kid, looking to be their age, playing with a snow-white dog. Once his icy blue eyes noticed them, he composed himself and faced the group, exposing the crimson symbol on his chest, surprising the Titans. In front of them was Superboy, with Krypto. "Hurry up, they're waiting on you" He spoke into his earpiece before turning his attention to the group. Starfire approached first, "Hey, Kori, right? Dick's told me a lot about you" Y/N smiles.

"I wonder what he said" Beast Boy whispers to Blue Beetle, wiggling his eyebrows before Jaime jabbed Beast Boy in the ribs with his elbow. "Ow!" Beast Boy whisper whined. "He has? That's good to know" Starfire is then interrupted by Cassie. "Y/N?" She asks, stepping towards him. "Cassie, how're ya doing? Still regret jumping in?" Y/N teased, making her groan, "Not as much but yeah" She answered. Y/N simply nods at her answer before scanning the group.

They didn't seem to be too hard to get along with, for him that is. Not so sure about Damian though. "I never asked, Y/N, but, why are you here?" Y/N smiled, "Batman's orders" Was his answer. It was cryptic and confusing. 'Didn't Superman stop him from crime-fighting?' Kari thought, but before she could continue the conversation, they hear a roar of a vehicle, gaining the group's attention.

They look to see the batmobile approaching them. "'Bout time" Y/N sighed. Kori walks back to the group. "Who's that? And why is he wearing Superman's symbol?" Beast Boy asked, "His name's Y/N and he's his son" Cassie answered his question. "WHAT!?" Beast Boy nearly screamed before Cassie closed his mouth. "Shut up!" She growled, "Sorry..." Beast Boy sighed. "I have plenty more questions, but for now, what's he doing here?" He asked, "Not sure, I didn't get to that" Kori spoke, glancing at Cassie.

As the batmobile arrives, the group went quiet. The hatch opens as Robin and Nightwing hop out. "What took you so long?" Y/N smirked, looking at Dick. He didn't pay him any mind as he walked past Y/N. Damian follows Dick, but Y/N stops him, putting a hand on his shoulder. Damian looks up at Y/N. "Try to at least act like you're following orders. Since I know it would be a waste asking you to be nice" Y/N spoke, to which Damian smirked as they walked to the Titans together.

"Nightwing" "Starfire" They shake hands as Damian walks over by Dick. "It's been a while" Kori said, "I know. You're looking good" Y/N rolls his eyes at the small attempts to both flirt and not to flirt, carrying his bag in his right hand as Damian held his over his shoulder. "This is Damian, the new Robin" Nightwing tried to introduce Damian to Kori, but Damian doesn't expose much bout himself, other than the fact that he's bored. "Welcome Damian" Starfire greeted as he looked at the others.

Beast Boy was grinning while having his hands on his hips. Jaime has his arms crossed. Cassie waves at him with a smile, while Raven just stands there. "I'll be in my room" Damian says, walking towards the tower, surprising everyone, well, except Y/N, he expected this. "Would you like to- " Kori tries to offer, but Damian cuts her off, "I think I can manage" Damian hisses walking towards the tower. "That's one creepy mocoso" Beetle comments, getting a small glare as Superboy and Krypto follow Damian inside.

"No... More like... sad..." Raven responds.
