What's a date?

Dan's POV

I'm running from my dad, Paul Thompson, he's not the best man as in he's an abusive rapist. I look behind me to see his old ass running like the Captain. I make a sharp turn onto the street where the Avengers tower is "FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK!" I yell as I run to the doors and begin banging on them since it was locked. I turn around to see him right in front of me "Dad, please no don't," I plead with big eyes "Oh my sweet baby boy, Daniel," he says with an unforgettable grin on his face then, he grabs my arm. I see a shield hit him in the chest causing him to fly across the road onto the other side of the street  "HEY! Leave him alone," I hear the Captain yell behind me wrapping his arms around me as I pant "You're safe now," he said "Thank you, man," I say starting to relax in his arms "No problem, Dan," he says as he rubs my head calmingly "Can we go inside? It's chilly," I say "Yea," he lets me go "Let's get you some coffee before we head to Tony's gala," he says. I turn around to see him already walking down the hallway to the kitchen and start to jog behind him as the doors automatically closed behind us. "Dan, how did he find you?" he asks " I don't know how but, I'm never going to leave work late ever again," I say as I rub my forehead "Yea, let's get you something to drink," he says with an honest chuckle. We open the door to the staircase that leads to the main level and walks up the stairs then, walk to the kitchen to see Chris and Thor talking "Thor, I can't do that," Chris says holding a mug "Brother Chris, you shouldn't hold yourself back," Thor says "I'm not! I'm just saying it'll break the guy," Chris says as he sips his drink. Steve  and I walk over shaking our heads with a smile knowing how this would end "Christopher, what are you and Thor talking about?" Steve asks making Chris jump with surprise "Oh! Hey! When did you uh um get back?" Chris asks him as he fumbles with his mug causing me to laugh at him which made him look at me "Hey, Danny boy!" he says in excitement as he puts his mug down on the island "Hey, Mr.Jackson," I say. I call him that since he's almost 23,000 years old in human years which is 23 from where he's from. "You don't have to call me that, Dan," he says "Dan, how are you?" Thor asks me "I'm a little shaken up from a little event," I say "Oh! What may that event be?" he asks "My Dad decided to try and fight me but, I wasn't in the mood for it," I say with a burning sensation in my chest as if I just took a sip of whiskey but I don't like it being caused without it "Oh! That's horrible and I'm glad you're safe," he says. We talk for a while about our families and his brother, Loki.

Chris's POV

"Steve, can we talk?" I ask "Sure, what do you want to talk about?" Steve asks "I've been wondering if you'd like to attend the party with me?" I ask as I grab his hand "Uh sure," he says as his face turns red which is perfect for a good tease so I lean into his ear "Steven, why are you turning all red?~" I whisper "Wha- what a-a-are y-y-you -" I cut him off "Aww, baby.~ You're blushing," I cooed in his ear which caused him to shake " Why are you shaking?" I ask innocently knowing exactly what I'm doing "Christopher, s-stop please," he says softly. I pull away, grab my mug and leave to find Loki since I need to get him a date with someone for Tony's party later on tonight. I walk to the training room to see if he was in there too which he wasn't so then, I go to our room but will be his when I ask Steve to be my mate for heat this season which will start a c couple of days from now so yeah anyway, these are the only two places he's ever in "Loki, what are you doing?" I ask as I open his bedroom door "I'm just reading my book," he says as he flips the page of his book "What's it about?" I ask "It's about a god who lost everything for his family and their people," he says softly " Sounds interesting but," I hop onto the bed right next to him "I have a perfect date for you tonight," I say as he moves away from me "What's a 'date'? Is it some kind of food?" he asks "Ok, a date is a social or romantic appointment with someone," I say so, he could understand better "Okay, with whom have you set me a 'date' with?" he asks me "You know the news reporter, Daniel Thompson?" I ask "Yes, what about that joy-filled bug,",he says "Well, Daniel is your date and he also has been living with us for the past few oh I don't know hmmm MONTHS!" I exclaim surprise he didn't know this "Oh! That Daniel?" he asks "Yes! That Daniel!" I yell. He sat there staring at me "What?" I ask while looking around the room to avoid eye contact "I thought his last name was Williams," he says "That's true but he goes by Thompson to keep his life on the low," I say knowing his past and family issues "Okay, I guess I'll give this 'date' a chance," he says putting his book down. I get off his bed then, walk to our closets so we can get ready for tonight's party.

Dan's POV

I'm talking to Thor knowing that the party is starting in 3 hours. "My friend, I suggest you wear a black suit," Thor suggests "I guess, I might give it a try," I say as I start walking down the hall with Thor joining "I was wondering if you could tell me and everyone else about your family?" he says causing me to stop in my tracks "Um well," I look around to make sure no one is around us "I'm going to this weekend also, Chris and Steve are the only people who know about it because we went to the academy together," I say "Oh ok, I just worry about your father hurting you or something," Thor says causing me to smile even tho my so-called father has already hurt me more than once. We keep walking and talking about the party then, headed to our rooms. I stop at mine as Thor kept walking. I open the door to my room then, head to my closest where my black suit was. I grab it and the shoes that I own go with it. I go to the bathroom to get dressed. I take off my clothes then there's a knock on the door "Coming!" I say walking towards the door with just my boxers on. I open the door to see Chris "Hey," I move so he could walk in "What's up?" I ask as he walks into my room "I'm interested in what you're going to wear since I'm wearing my classic red and black assemble so, Steve's outfit matches mine," he says. He has on a black button-up, ripped black jeans, a black suit jacket, with a red tie "Oh well, I'm wearing a black suit since Thor suggested it but, I have to tell the others about myself before something comes up," I say as I walk back into the bathroom to finish getting ready. "I don't think you should tonight especially when your date might want," he walks over to me and leans on the wall by the bathroom "to get into your pants," he says with a smirk "My god, Chris! Do you think someone would want this?" I say buttoning my pants "Yes!" he exclaims making me laugh "I mean your not wrong," I say as I put on my jacket and buttoning the middle button. "Ready to go?" he asks "Ready! We should get our dates and hop into the limos," I say leaving my room with him following me. We see Bruce, Clint, Sam, Bucky, Thor, & Natasha but not the others "Hey, everybody," Chris says walking over to Thor and giving him a bro hug "Hey, CJ," Sam says while holding Bucky's hand "Guys, where's everyone else?" I ask then, walk over to Nat "I don't know, Williams," she says drinking her bourbon "Okay, I'm guessing their still getting ready," I say "Yea, Dan," Clint says walking and kiss Nat making me roll my eyes and walk away to the balcony but, before going out I grab me a glass of whiskey. I open the double doors to see Loki standing there in a long emerald green dress "Whoa," I whisper "Loki, darling," I hear someone say so I look to my right to see a kid wearing the same suit as me "You must be Daniel Thompson," Loki says "Yes and you must be Loki," the kid says with his hand out "Hey," I say loudly. It causes the two of them to look at me "Who are you?" the kid asks while moving in front of Loki "I'm the real Daniel Thompson but, that's just a stage name. My real name shall never be revealed," I say walking towards the kid. I tower over him "Now, give me my date," I say in a father-like tone making him step back and bump into Loki. "Sorry, Mr.Thompson," he says in a quiet voice "It's alright, kid. Just don't pretend to be someone else because I can see that you have great potential," I say with a smirk and put my right hand on his shoulder "Thank you, sir," he looks down at the ground "My name is Jake," Jake says in a shy tone "Well, Jake head inside and wait with everyone else," I say. He walks inside with everyone else while I stay with Loki "That was so hot," Loki says "Thanks," I say  "Okay," he says "Loki, I got you this," I hand him an emerald and gold earrings "Chris helped me find the best emeralds so, I could make this," I say as he puts on the earrings "It's beautiful," he looks at me with astonishment "Thank you,"  he says. I extend my arm for him "Ready?" I ask "Yes," he says while his arm around mine. We walk back into the hallway "Daniel, I never had a date before," he says "Really? No one wanted to ask the most amazing looking guy out?" I say with a lustful smirk. Loki laughs his great laugh then, we stop walking.
