2 - dío

Mix woke at the sound of his phone's alarm. He removed Joss' arm around his waist causing that man to stir from his sleep.

"You leaving?" Joss asks half asleep.

"Hmm." Mix replied shortly and gave a peck on Joss lips. "Continue your sleep, don't mind me". Joss pulls the duvet and fast asleep after that. Mix got out of bed and went to shower to take a quick bath.

The sky outside is still dark when Mix steps out from the house. Mix saw a familiar figure of Joss gardener starting his job. He's always early even before sunrise.

"Good morning uncle" Mix greets him as usual.

He turned around and replied to Mix, "good morning to you too Mr." He doesn't speak much, just doing his job quietly. Joss' car is already outside and Mix knows Earth is inside. He's never late. Where did he even sleep? Mix wonder.

He got out of his seat and opened the back door as usual.

"Thank you" Mix mutters softly. Earth just nods his head and closes the door. The travel back to Amor house is always awkward. Mix actually wants to ask Earth something but he doesn't know how to begin. Earth is always with his stern face. But this time is important, Mix needs to ask him. Mix took a deep breath before he began.

"Umm, Earth, have you found something in this car?"

"As if..?"

"It's nothing,,,ermm.. it's an anklet actually, I wore it but now it's missing. I try to find it everywhere but it's nowhere to be seen. So, I just wondering"

"Ohh, but no, I didn't find such thing here, sorry about it" Earth replied shortly.

"Nevermind then" They turn back to silence again. The anklet is a gift from his late mom. The only properties that she could give Mix before she passed away and left Mix with nothing at the age of sixteen.

The sky gets brighter, the sun probably starts to peak from the sea. Mix always saw the sunrise from inside the car. It's beautiful.

"You want to see the sunrise?" Earth broke the silence causing Mix to surprise with his question.

"Can I?" Instead of answering him, Earth turns to the left and parks his car on the side road.

"Go on. I wait here" Earth pulls the handbrake and turns his head to look at Mix. Earth is really weird today. Mix lips form a small smile before he says "come with me, won't you? Pleassee..?"

Earth looks at him intensely, making Mix feel shy. He opens his door and steps outside without saying anything. Mix follows him afterward.

They start to walk side by side towards the beach. Mix beams happily and look at Earth. "It's been a while since I went to the beach". The sound of the sea wave getting clear as they come closer toward the sea. The sky is getting bright and the sun is about to rise. They stand side by side without saying anything and watch the sun fully rise.

"It's beautiful," Mix said, looking at the horizon.

"Like you" Earth said softly but Mix caught his words.

"Huh?" Mix turned his head and saw Earth already staring at him.

"We're getting late". Earth clears his throat before turning back and starts to walk away from Mix. Mix stares at his back and follows him to the car. What the hell did he say?.

"Thank you" Mix thanked Earth as usual even though Earth never replied to him. He seems weird today, bringing Mix to the beach and seeing the sunrise. Mix watches Earth cars disappear from his eyes before he turns around to get inside. He needs a long and warm bath now.

"Would you like to be with me?" Joss' words ringing in his ears. This is not the first time Mix got the question from his client. He met a lot of those men before. They always act like they own the world because of their money and power. Mix decided to not think about that except that he got one thing in his mind. Earth. Did Mix hear it correctly? What Earth said? It's not the first time someone complimented Mix as a beau but when Earth said it, his heart fluttered. Why?.

Mix goes to his shared dressing room with Win to place his belongings. He saw Win sitting in front of the mirror with a sullen face.

"Morning Win" Mix greeted him. Win looked surprised because he didn't notice Mix enter the room.

"Oh, Mix you back, sorry I didn't realise" Win gave Mix a short smile. Mix knew there was something wrong with him.

"What's wrong, love?" Mix bends a little to hug Win who is sitting on the chair from behind. Win let out a sigh and leaned his head on Mix's arm.

"Bright,, he's.. he's getting married" Win looked like a puppy being kicked when he told Mix the news.

Mix doesn't want to say I told you so to Win. But was Mix surprised? Obviously the answer is no. Mix sure Mr Chivaaree will send off his son to marry someone rich and respectable like them. Bright probably knew this would happen but still he led Win on. Since Win met Bright, he seems happier. His eyes sparkled every time he told Mix about Bright. How much Bright loves him and whatsoever.

"Win, the higher you dream, the more hurt you get when you fall down" That's what he used to tell Win, when Bright promised to talk to Mr Chivaaree about them.

"So, what's going to happen now?" Mix hug Win tighter to give him comfort. Mix sure Win didn't sleep and cried last night looking at his swollen eyes.

"He said,,, don't think too much about it,, they don't love each other.Their marriage is arranged by family. Bright fiancé got a boyfriend too so they agreed to get married but keeping each other's relationship without any problem"

"And,, you okay with it?"

Win just keeps his silence. "You should rest, I'm sorry you have to hear me in the morning"

Mix kiss the top of Win head before he lets go of hugging him. "Have you shower? Want to take a bath together?"

"You go first, I will join you later. I want to replied Bright message first"

Mix feels uneasy now like he got a bile on his throat. He got the hunch that he's gonna lose Win,, sooner or later. Ah, after all, Mix stil destined to be alone.
