Spring soon came and wedding ceremonies are everywhere. The boutique was busier than usual. Luna haven't sat down since she opened the boutique early in the morning.

By lunch hour, she was totally exhausted. Luna finally sat down after hours of helping brides try on their dresses and such.

"Fatty, go and buy some cigarettes for me. And while at it some snacks. Hurry up," Yun pushed Luna off her seat. He laughed and sat on the chair. "Hurry!"

She walked down the streets, mentally choking Yun in her mind.

"Looks like someone is in a bad mood."
"Go away Yangyang."

"Am going," he softly poked Luna's arm and ran away.

"Don't run!!!!! You can't handle it!" Luna shouted at him before entering the convenience store. She watched him got on the bus. She knew where he's headed to.

Yangyang saw Luna walking down the street, he caught up to her. Honestly he had no business talking to her but he just wanted to. Besides, she's the only friend he had around other than Xiaojun and Hendery.

"Go away Yangyang," she didn't even look at him. He liked how she's so nice yet so straightforward. She's so much like Hendery.

He chose to came over just so he could spend time with Hendery. Sounds like a very odd move for a friend. Well to him, both Hendery and Xiaojun are more than friends. He'd chose them over any family.

Blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb they say. And he is agreeing to it.

"Cigarettes, snacks and drinks. Total of 27 bucks," Luna held her hand out asking for payment. Yun laughed and walked away. Another day of her just watching her money burn away.

Luna fished out her phone and there were text messages from Hendery.

Luna, what was the joke you said about buffalo?

She smiled when the message popped up. Out of everything, he's asking her about a simple dad joke.

What did the buffalo said to his son? Bison.

"Smiling? Who's that. Your boyfriend?" Yun put a 50 bill on the desk and walked away.

"I don't have change!"
"Keep it! But you're driving tomorrow!"

Luna's confused. Sometimes Yun is like the Yun from years ago and sometimes Yun is the sole asshole she knows today. No in between.

Weekends are the worst during wedding seasons. At least for her. She's usually the one who prepares the brides sometimes even the grooms. She wished that there's another person to help her in term of hair or makeup but she could only wish for it.

Thankfully, that Saturday she only got one bride. Rare occasions, but it happens. Luna loaded up the car with stuff needed to prepare the bride. "Hurry up fat ass!"

"Well help me then!!" She slammed the hood hard. Luna got into the car and drove it quietly. Yun slept all the way to the venue.

"Heyy!!!" Dana smiled so brightly when Luna walked into the waiting room.

A little bit of Luna's heart broke that day when she saw Dana. Just because she remembered what Hendery said. Even she knew he was lying. Her heart still ache.

Dana was on her phone the whole time Luna did her makeup. "Hey, my brother's at the door. Can we open it?" She suddenly looked up from her phone.

Luna panicked internally but she opened the door anyway, quickly looking away so she wouldn't lock eyes with the man behind the door.

"Oooh someone is shining on her happy day!!" a familiar voice tickled her eardrums. Luna wanted to disappear there and then. But how could she?

Xiaojun walked into the bride's waiting room to see his sister smiling brightly. However, his heart dropped to the bottom of his stomach when he saw who was in the room with Dana.

How he prayed his eyes were deceiving him. How he prayed his was wrong. But when she turned to Dana and continued whatever she was doing before he came, he knew he was right.

"Luna what are you doing here?"
"Preparing the bride. What else?"
"B...b..but how?"

Luna turned to him and smiled. "How can you not know that's my store?" Luna sounded so calm. Not an ounce of anger could be heard. Xiaojun gulped. Did she knew all these while?

"Lu.... ."
"Save it, DJ. I'm working."
"Did you know all these while?"

"Know what?" Luna didn't even waver at his question.

"You know him?" Dana asked. She was curious about the conversation. Luna nodded.

"Dana, she's Hendery's girlfriend."
"Ex. We broke up. Remember?" Luna chuckled. "DJ, stop asking or I'll leave the bride half done," Luna put down the stuff and was ready to leave.

"Okay. Okay I won't ask," Xiaojun promised and just kept quiet until she was done. Even when she was done, he didn't say a single thing.

Xiaojun trailed after Luna as she carried her stuff back to the car.

"You're done working. Now answer me. Did you know?"
"About what? Dana is not his new girl or that he is now ill?" Luna bit her tongue hard. She wished she didn't met him that day.

"So you knew he was lying. Why didn't you say anything?"
"Would you say anything?" She sighed heavily. Luna leaned on the car, looking up to Xiaojun. He bit his lips.

"Exactly. So why do you expect me to say something then?"
"So, you're letting him hurt you just like that for no reason?"
"With reason. I don't know what he reasons were but I'm assuming he had them. Okay. So my work here is done. I'll get going," she quickly got into the car and locked it. She didn't want to talk about it anymore.

The whole ride home was silent. Not a single word escaped her lips. Even when Yun irked her badly. She was lost in her own thoughts.

Luna disappeared soon after she finished unloading stuff into the store. Her phone was dead and she was nowhere to be found.

Just like that, she disappeared along with the wind.
