Horner Corner: Celery and world peace

my humble response to the call to join the movement for Celery and World Peace

 Horner Corner

I must be getting paranoid

Should consult my book of Freud,

For there on every criss-cross corner,

Stands some Little Jackie Horner;

Holding up the sugared plums.

Purple baseballs crowning  thumbs.

With corpulence that’s quite astounding,

Speech with virulence abounding,

They shout they’re eating public pie

But there’s no plum for you and I.

There’s a need to change their diet.

What are the odds that they will try it?

Yet still I venture to suggest

The digestive tract might need a rest.

That with a proper bowel movement

Their foul mood would show improvement.

Celery might be just the thing,

A less dour consciousness to bring.
